Her eyes felt puffy, and everything around her seemed to falter even more.

It's like her mind was spinning on an axis, and when she woke up, it turned even more. Her heart felt like it was being pulled out of her chest, made it difficult to breathe.

Her mothers wedding day.

It was about 8 in the morning when she finally had to get up and stop crying. Carmella had been up, playing in her crib with anything she could find. Brax and Miokho had been sleeping on her bed with her, until she got up, as did they.

She'd had to drag herself up out of bed, and threw on her house robe, going to use the bathroom first as she grabbed Carmella out of her crib. Pansy was in the upstairs bathroom doing her hair, and Cordelia closed the door, going pee because she knew pansy didn't mind.

Her and pansy had gotten a little closer, despite Cordelia going mute for the last two weeks since Scorpius told her that Draco was the father. He broke her trust.

"You're leaving today," pansy set down the curling iron, "Aren't you?"

Cordelia nodded, and pansy sighed.

"I've packed a bag for the things you'll need," she told her, "It's got money, your passport, and stuff for your baby when they're due. I've got you covered, okay?"

Cordelia silently thanked her, despite the tears wallowing up in her eyes. Carmella played with a strand of curl, and once Cordelia was done, she headed in the shower to rinse off with Carmella.

When she was done, she wrapped a towel around both of them, and headed back to her room. She stopped in her tracks seeing Draco, his hand faltering on knocking on her bedroom door once his eyes landed on her.

He saw how her eyes were, saw how tired she looked. "Cordelia.."

She gave him a weak smile, not saying anything.

She pushed past him, and closed the door on his face.

Draco was having second thoughts about this wedding. He just didn't want to ruin Cordelia's life. He's a 36 year old man, and she's only nineteen.

Cordelia watched his footsteps finally go a different direction after he stood there for a few minutes.

Cordelia had gotten dressed in her dress, but had backup clothes in her bag just in case.

Just in case he didn't marry her.

And she knew deep down in her heart, that he was going to.

When she exited her room, she prepared herself for a disaster.

The sound of wedding bells was what snapped her into reality, her body tired.

She sat in the back, with pansy, while Scorpius started to walk down the aisle and drop flowers everywhere. Draco stood up there, with his eyes focused on Cordelia, and she hated him for this.

Hated him so much.

How can he do this to her? How can he stand up there and act like he didn't touch her body— like he wasn't the only one who's ever touched her body.

The feeling in her chest was so heavy she couldn't breathe. Watching Scorpius take a seat, and watching her mother open the doors and start walking out, was like bricks were being thrown at her chest. It hurt.

And she couldn't take it anymore.

As soon as they were both standing up there, Cordelia snuck back inside of her own house, and gathered her things while she sobbed. Carmella was trying to hug her, but Cordelia had to get out of here.

She loaded the car with her things, she put Brax and then Miokho in their kennels, and loaded them in the car too. Her feet were sluggish, and when she'd finally stepped into the car, she held Carmella in her lap. Pansy had arranged a driver for her because she knew she didn't like to drive.

The driver set off to the airport.

Draco took notice that she left.

And suddenly, his chest was pounding, and he couldn't focus on anything else. Scorpius sat in the front seat, looking back at where his father was staring, and even his stomach dropped at the sight of Cordelia not being there anymore.

"Where is she?" Draco's voice echoed throughout his sons head, and Scorpius was close to crying as the pastor kept speaking. She left without a goodbye. "Please."

"She's gone, Father."

Draco knitted his eyebrows together, "Gone where?"

"She's gone to Italy carrying your child."

Cordelia drug her suitcase out and then had the driver help with her kennels. Carmella was asleep on her shoulder, and she had both of their passports in her hands.

This was it.

She was leaving Draco for good.

Draco couldn't breathe.

His hands were sweaty as he ran from the wedding ceremony, and when he'd called her name in the house, he knew she'd already left.

His feet started running, eyes blurring with tears. He wished he'd noticed it faster, wished they had more time together, wished to Merlin she would've told him that she was pregnant with his child.

The airport was so close, it was right there.

She drug herself to the plane.

Her feet were slow, and she tried to hope that he'd try and find her. That he'd try to stop her from boarding this plane at this very moment. But he wasn't here. He wasn't here to hold her back from doing this, and now she was crying again, holding her stomach as she held Carmella's hand.

She stopped shortly, looking at the plane, and just stood. Does she really want to do this? Leave everything behind?

His feet nearly slid on the floor as he ran past security guards, ran past people, and their luggage.

He was crying, trying his hardest to get to her as fast as possible, his chest rising and falling. All he wanted was her.

Was she really going to board that plane? His heart squeezed even thinking about it.

With tears still blurring her vision, she boarded the plane with Carmella.

She'd started silently sobbing, her head buried in her sleeves.

He'd ran all the way until the plane was lifted off the ground, shouting her name until his voice was raw.

He'd shouted and ran until he couldn't anymore, and security guards had caught up to him.

He realized he wanted to be with her too late.
