[this one made me a little emotional 🥲]
Tear stained, they both were.Cordelia had woke up in the middle of the night, exactly at 12, as did Draco. Both in different beds, at different locations, all the way across town. They're lives had been ripped apart, ripped away from them, and Cordelia could hardly walk to her bathroom to get a glass of water.
Draco stood at his kitchen counter, and just stared at the bottle of whiskey in his hand. He'd cried, he'd sobbed, he'd begged the world to give him answers on why this happened. Why this happened to them. They didn't deserve that. None of them did.
Cordelia sank to her knees and cried so loud it woke up both of her children. Then she cried more. Because her new born baby hasn't even met her father. Or any man, at all.
Draco turned the keys in his car and started driving, and Cordelia couldn't stop crying even when she picked up her fourth month old. When everything came back, that included her trauma. Included the crash with her father, her mothers abuse, her mind breaking down from time to time.
It took him fifteen minutes to get to her apartment, when it's supposed to take him forty five. But as soon as he knocked on that door, Cordelia laid her daughter back down and told Carmella to stay in the room, practically running to open the door.
She was lifted off her feet and could hardly breathe when he pulled her into his arms, and they stayed there, falling to the floor, crying together. Hadn't they given enough?
"Cordelia," he panted, breathed heavy and pushed her hair away from her face. "Baby, please. Say something."
She just cried in his arms, her throat closed in on her.
"No," he cupped her face, shivering from the cold. But he didn't move an inch away from her, "No, no, Love come on. Please don't do this to me. I just want to hear you. Say something. Please." He hugged her, and begged. "Please," it was muffled into her shoulder, "Anything. Don't do this to me."
God, she hated herself.
But all she could do was hug him as hard as she could until her baby started crying again.
Draco's face dropped, pulling away from her and scooping her up, closing her door. Cordelia began to panic, and start sobbing in his arms, gripping him so hard it hurt.
"Don't leave me."
Draco sighed into her shoulder, "There you are." He kissed her cheek, her neck and even her forehead several times. "I'm not leaving. Keep talking to me. Please."
She nuzzled into his shoulder, closing her eyes. "I don't understand, Draco. I— I don't know anything anymore."
He sat her down on her bed and turned on the light, both of them trying to adjust to the light. When he looked in the crib, all he saw was an exact replica of Cordelia. But the eyes, the eyes were definitely his.
Cordelia wiped her nose with her sleeve, still shivering. Carmella crawled into her lap, whispering, "Is Daddy back? Is he leaving again?"
More tears welled up in Cordelia's eyes as Draco turned around and picked Carmella up, hugging her. "I'm not leaving, ever again. Okay?" He kissed her forehead, "I'm here for forever."
Carmella nodded, and Cordelia pulled at Draco's sweatpants. She knew Carmella missed him, but all she wanted to do was touch him. Hold him. Kiss him. Anything that would take the heart break away.
Draco nodded, laying Carmella back down. "Let's go back to bed, okay?"
Cordelia watched him turn off her light again, and she moved herself over into the middle of the bed, allowing him to lay next to her. She instantly clung to him, and he had a firm grip on her.
"Cordelia," he spoke quietly, voice almost cracking. "I don't understand what happened."
She pushed the hair out of her face again, breathing heavily. "I'm sorry," she whimpered into him, breaking down. He looked at her as if he was going to ask why, but she beat him to it. "I remember you yesterday. After you— you kissed that girl.. why did you do that?" She cried, gripping his shirt. "I remember you begging me to speak but I— I couldn't, Draco. You hurt me. And I know I — I tried to talk, I tried to let— let you know I was trying. But—"
She was tripping over her words, and they were back in the same position as last time. Her attempting to shut down and he won't allow it. Because he knows how to stop it now, but god does he wish he knew how to yesterday.
He picked her back up, and brought her into the bathroom, sitting her on the counter and closing the door behind him. "Look at me."
Her lips trembled, and he stood in between her legs, pulling her towards him.
"Cordelia, look at me." She did, staring into the eyes she fell in love with. "I got you out of this state once. I'll do it again if that's what it takes." He laid a kiss on her nose, "You're not messed up, you're a normal person who struggles. And that's okay. But you've gotta remember to breathe."
She nodded, staring up at him now with love and lust mixed. Her lips collided with his almost instantly, feeling relief and sensation at the same time. He pushed up her long sleeve shirt above her panty line, gripped her waist and kissed her even harder.
They could barely get enough breath in as he pushed into her, still kissing each other with everything in them. Her small moans, and his sweat mixed together perfectly, and she couldn't stop herself from clawing at his back after taking his shirt off.
"I missed you," he moaned into her ear, sloppy talking and hard thrusting. "Every," his hand slid in between them. "Part," he rubbed her clit gently, sliding his thumb over it from time to time just to hear his favorite sound come from her lips.
She moaned against his chest, both of them so close together that she could hardly breathe. But that was okay, because with every push he gave into her, she grew more and more comfortable with moaning his name even louder.
"Careful," she breathed out, her mouth left open. "Don't want to get me pregnant again."
He chuckled, gripping her ass cheek in his hand, nearly covering it, and pushed himself deeper inside of her, feeling the way she pulsated around him and clung on tighter.
He breathed near her ear, fisting her hair with his other hand, "And who the fuck said I didn't want that?"
