"You're back." Shoto approached (Y/N), offering to take her book bag from her shoulders.

(Y/N) gave him a look of uncertainty before hesitantly giving him her bag, "Can we talk? In one of our dorms, please?" She made her way to the dorm kitchen, weaving through a few of her classmates to reach the fridge and a bottle of water.

Shoto followed her, a concerned look in his eyes as he did, "Of course. Is everything alright?"

".. I dunno. Wait until we're at my dorm." (Y/N) shrugged, deciding to go to her dorm herself. She noticed Shoto's small nod as she began her way to the elevator, stepping inside with Mina and Sero.

Shoto rolled his eyes as he stepped next to (Y/N) and in front of the other two. At this point, he was dreading being around any of (Y/N)'s other friends. If he were honest with himself, he wanted her all to himself.

The ride up was awkward with no conversation. They were lucky they had the hum of the elevator at least to occupy their minds from the tension.

Once the doors opened, (Y/N) gave Mina a small smile before walking the opposite way of Bakugou's room. She unlocked her door before pushing it open.

From down the hall, Sero and Mina peered at the two from around the corner of the elevator. They watched as (Y/N) walked inside, Todoroki on her tail before the door shut gently behind them. They looked at each other before scurrying to Bakugou's room.

(Y/N) sat on her desk chair, motioning for Shoto to sit on her bed. He sat as close to her as possible, barely even on the bed at this point with her bag to his side, "What do you want to talk to me about? Did Mina or one of them say something to you?" He looked at her, concerned.

"...Sero talked to me today." (Y/N) began hesitantly, only glancing up at Shoto once, "He.. was asking me if something was wrong because I avoided them all day."

"Did you tell him what you thought?"

(Y/N) nodded, "Yeah.. but he had no clue what I was talking about."

Shoto felt butterflies form in his stomach, "He said that? Really?"

"Mhm," (Y/N) nodded. "He told me that neither of them would ever say that about me. Especially Bakugou." She looked at him again, his expression neutral. She wished she could read him better–at least the look in his eyes. She stared at him for a moment longer, silence in the room before she spoke, "Did you lie to me? I don't want to accuse you, Sho, but I don't know who to believe."

Shoto pushed himself off of the bed, pulling over a stool next to (Y/N). He took her hand in his own, moving his eyes nowhere else other than her eyes, "No, (Y/N). I wouldn't do that. I care about you–that's why I told you what they said. I don't want you to be taken advantage of.. they were doing just that."

"I..." (Y/N) paused, not knowing what to think. She pushed Shoto's hands off of her own, "I don't want to believe them over you, but they're my friends. But I don't want you to think I don't believe you, either."

"I understand," Shoto nodded gently. "You've been told hurtful news and it's normal to be weary. I don't blame you for that, darling." He gently put a hand on (Y/N)'s cheek, rubbing her cheekbone with his thumb.

(Y/N) couldn't help but lean into his touch, a thankful look in her eyes as she peered at him. "Thank you, Sho. I really appreciate you being here for me."

Shoto smiled gently before leaning forward to kiss (Y/N)'s forehead, "No need to thank me. I'l leave you to think, darling. Please, come to me if you ever need anything." He caressed her cheek once more before letting go of her and leaving the room. Once the door shut behind him, he let out a gentle sigh.
