Nala's pov:

I went outside for training when Toshi told me too.

"Hey Nala, how was your day at school?" Aizawa asked when he saw me.

"Good." I lied.

"Well, let's get started with training. I think, now I don't know for sure because I don't have your quirk, but I think If you know the animal you are trying to shape-shift into, then the higher the chances of success." He said as he walked to the shed. I stayed where I was, and he pulled out ten or more cages with different animals. I was shocked to say the least. "So, today I want you to get to know every one of these animals, and try and shape-shift into them." He assigned. He then walked away, and I looked at the many many animals, and decided on the bunny first.

I opened its cage, and pulled it into my arms, petting it. I played with its ears, and let its nose nuzzle into me, and it actually made me feel better. After about fifteen minutes of playing around, I decided to try it. I concentrated on the bunny and it actually worked. I shrank into a bunny!!! I started hopping around the yard, and hopped to the front door, and started scratching. When it opened dad looked down at me and smiled.

"Glad it worked." He said as he patted my head. I changed back, and looked at him.

"Thanks dad." I say as I hug him. He seemed surprised, but hugged back. He then pulled away, and held me by the shoulders.

"I love you, Nala. I hope you know that. I will always love you." He told me, and I nodded.

"I love you too." I said this for the first time. Every day he told me how much he loved me, and I always responded with 'Yeah' or 'I know' but I never actually told him I loved him until now. He was so happy. I looked up to see the huge smile on his face, and it made me smile. I felt so happy at that moment, but all good things must come to an end.

"DINNER'S READY!!!" Papa shouted. I laughed a little at Dad's annoyed look. We both went inside and ate dinner. We were all happy and chatting, and I actually felt at home, and like I wasn't a burden. After dinner We all hung out in the living room, and watched a movie, and after that I went to my room for bed, content, and even happy with the events of today. Yeah, I had some bumps in the road, but all in all, it was a good day.
