Nala's pov:

Today was court, and I was terrified. We were all dressed in formal attire, and ready to go, physically. Mentally, however, I was a wreck.

"Babe?" Jackson walked into my room. "Are you ready?" He asked me kindly.

"Nooooo!" I drag out, plopping onto the bed. I let out a sigh, and Jackson sits beside me.

"C'mere." He said, pulling me up by the waist, and pulling me into a kiss. "Everything is going to be okay. I'll be there with you the whole time."

"But so will he." I gulped.

"He can't do anything. He will be kept away from you at all times. Don't worry." He smiled at me, and I couldn't help but smile back.

When we got there we walked into a small chit-chat from the people there. We sat with my lawyer and stayed silent. When the judge walked in, we all stood.

"You may be seated." He said, as we all sat down. I nervously sat there, hand-in-hand with Jackson, while the judge said a bunch of stuff, but I was zoned out.

(A/n: Because I don't know how to right this, I'm skipping it.)

He was found guilty. I couldn't be happier. The drive home was happy. And, when we got there we were all in a good mood.

"Thank you. Thank you all, for being there for me. I can't tell you how much I appreciate every single one of you." I say, with tears in my eyes.

"That's what family's for." Jackson says, pulling me into a hug. I finally felt free. Free from the burden. From the pain.

"Thank you." I smile, and we all join a group hug. I was finally happy.
