AFTER THE GAME

I woke up to the sound of Sam's giggles.

I'm sleeping at her condo tonight right after our first quarter finals game. I wasn't able to join the other housemates last time they had the Pajama Party because of my bubble training for PVL. Kaya naman I promised Sam na babawi ako, and ayun nga, tonight is our scheduled sleep over.

Luckily, we won tonight's game. Hmm, I wouldn't say na it's luck pala, kasi we worked hard for that win. Siguro I'm saying na it is rin, kasi Sam was there, and to me, she's my lady luck. Well, I had my fair share of luck in my life, but it kinda double the moment I met her inside bahay ni Kuya. Everything kinda fell into place, and it's like she's the missing gear that made this well oiled machine turn and function for the better.

I checked my phone to see what time it is, and it's 2:12 am. Sam is sitting in our bed, her back leaning at the head board.

Sam? Bat gising ka pa at this hour? And why are you laughing?

She immediately hid her phone nung nakita niya na gising ako. Pero tuloy parin ang pag tawa niya.

Huh? Uhmm, wala to sizzy. May pinapanuod lang.

Ano pinapanuod mo? Can I see?

Ayaw, haha!

What? Teka, ako ba yan pinapanuod mo?

Haha! Oy assuming.

Bat ayaw mo ipakita?

Secret!

I think aabutin ako ng umaga kakatanong sa kanya kung tungkol saan ang pinapanuod niya, or kung ako nga ba yun, pero hindi niya aaminin. Kaya naman I lunged at her to get her phone na tinatago niya sa likuran niya.

Hahaha! Ly! Ano ginagawa mo?

I'm hugging her right now, trying to reach her phone.

Ayaw mo pa umamin na ako yung pinapanuod mo eh. I'll try and get your phone to prove na ako nga yan.

She stared at me then whispered.

Try, and, get, it.

I felt goosebumps all over my body. The way she said it per word made my spine tingle.

Be careful with your words Sam. I train everyday, I even lift weights.

You train everyday in the court. Pero are you trained in the bed?

Stop messing with me.

Am I?

For a split second there, I thought that she was implying something. Pero I realized na we're about to wrestle in this bed, if I insist na kuhanin ang phone niya.

Sam raised her hand while holding her phone. I tried to grab it pero ang bilis niya iniwas ang kamay niya.

Haha! Bleh!

I pinned her in bed while I was hovering on top of her. Pero she locked my waist between her legs, na parang unggoy na nakasabit. Nagulat ako kaya naman napaluwag ang kapit ko sa magkabila niyang kamay. Ang bilis ng pangyayari, bigla nalang nabaliktad ang posisyon naming dalawa, at ako na ang nakahiga sa kama.

What? How did you-

Again, are you trained in bed?

Sinubukan ko nalang ulit abutin ang phone niya. Pero nakataas ang kamay niya, and unless di ako makawala sa pwesto ko, hindi ko yun makukuha.

I used the strength that I regained from my sleep to turn her over, and I did. Pero I think Sam has the same strength as me, kasi everytime i turn her over, ganun rin lang ginagawa niya. Para kaming turon na pinapa ikot-ikot sa asukal.
