"What's wrong, SiZhui?"

Wei Wuxian noticed SiZhui's silence. Although SiZhui rarely spoke especially when not taking his opinion he remained silent. But at those times Wei Wuxian felt something was disturbing the young Lan's mind. As his father-to-be, it was his responsibility to make sure he was on the right track and helped him with anything.

"Uh..." SiZhui returned to his senses and turned to Wei Wuxian. "About the future me, I'm bothered."

Wei Wuxian raised his brows and looked at Lan Wangji but the latter nodded at him as if telling him that he can handle it. "Bothered to what? That your children are missing?"

Wei Wuxian guessed it incorrectly but Lan SiZhui had no intention of correcting his senior. He doesn't know how will they react once they find out he has romantic feelings for the young sect leader of the Jin Clan and he is not ready to know it yet. Stuttering, "Uh—...y-yes. I just can't believe that I'll get to have three children. In a span of five, isn't that unbelievable, Senior Wei?"

La Wangji, "They haven't told us yet what year they came from."

Lan SiZhui, "But based on their faces, they must be coming from 3 to 5 years now."

"No." Wei Wuxian wasn't sure if it was right to say what he found out to the young Lan but he didn't want to confuse the child he already considered his own. He couldn't be mistaken. He was sure that even Lan Wangji felt that enormous power inside those four cultivators from the future. "Their cultivation level had improved so much. I can feel a high-level spiritual power inside your future you."

SiZhui almost dropped his jaw. "That would be impossible."

Wei Wuxian agreed. "Indeed." His brows twisted. "But there is something about the future you. He seems different."

Lan Wangji spoke, "They have reached immortality."

SiZhui paled and fell deeply perplexed. His feeling and thoughts are a mess. "But with my cultivation level now, I don't believe I attained immortality at 20. It's just impossible."

After a moment of silence, Wei Wuxian let out a long sigh, "We will get our answers in the next coming days."

Still pale, SiZhui nodded. However, inside his heart, those didn't concern him because his mind was filled with uncertainty and issues. Regarding his kids-to-be, he wasn't sure if he would believe them or not. What he was sure of, he will not marry anyone if the person in his heart is not the one he will end up with. So to say he will have 3 children in 3-5 years is insane. Unless...unless he will learn to fall in love with the woman who will give him children or perhaps...perhaps, he will be bound to a political marriage. But to have 3 children? He shook his head. He wanted to get that out of his mind first and focus on the juniors aged 10 to 15. Although he is a few years older than them he was still considered a junior disciple of the GusuLan Sect. So how could he have the heart to punish these kids? Even so, a rule is a rule. Once broken, how will they learn if they are not punished?

"Improper." SiZhui closed his eyes and refused to look at the thirteen-year-old Lan disciple who was having a hard time doing the handstand. Sweat dripping from the child's forehead and its apparent difficulty in balancing itself caused pain in his chest. He felt sorry for these children but he also experienced it when he was only their age. Especially since he was raised and grew up with Lan Wangji's teachings. That is why he is always anxious in everything he does. He have the anxiety of being disapproved by Lan Wangji and was scared of becoming a disappointment.

He remembered his future self's appearance. The future him was still wearing the same faint smile. Though the changes are not visible, he knew that despite that faint smile he could see the strange brilliance and burden in its eyes. Something he was curious about.

Lan SiZhui breathed heavily. After examining each of the junior disciples' scripts, he scanned the group. "You are all good."

All of them let out sighs of relief.

One of the young disciples went to approach him. "Shi-ge, why are you the one overseeing the punishment now?" He asked while massaging his arms.

"Sect Leader asked me to," SiZhui answered. "You should go and rest."

The Lan disciple still didn't move. "Shi-ge, the Chunshi will be finished in no time soon. Some of our shixiong say that our clan's next sect leader will reside there. Shi-ge, are you..."

SiZhui waited for the boy to continue what he was saying but the pause took a while so he reminded him of the sect's rule again. "Cutting your words is prohibited. Do you want to copy the sect rules one more time?"

The boy gulped. "Shi-ge, are you the new sect's heir of our clan's main family?"

Lan SiZhui was stunned to be asked directly. He doesn't understand where those rumors came from and why they believe that he will be the new sect's heir. He cleared his throat. "No." He answered coldly. "Gossiping is prohibited in Cloud Rececess. Please refrain from discussing it at the back of our sect leader. Do you want to be punished again?"

The Lan disciple pursed his lips. "Apologies, shi-ge."

Meanwhile, a sudden appearance of a lady holding a child caused a commotion in Lotus Pier. The two were wearing a light golden robe, the embroidery on their clothes was extremely delicate, forming a magnificent white peony in front of their chest. While the young lady has a gentle and polite exterior her complexion was snowy white, the child had a vermillion mark in between his eyebrows which made it very obvious what clan they belong to. However, despite their appearance, what made them befuddled especially to the elders of the Jiang Sect was the identity of the lady.

"M-Maiden Jiang? J-Jiang Y-Yanli?!"
