The sun was radiating in the sky. Few disciples from Lan Sect and Jiang Sect are having a serious discussion about the waterborne abyss they just encountered.

Lan Wangji asked, "Recently, has there been any place which suffered from the waterborne abyss?"

Lan Xichen pointed at the sky. Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng looked at each other. They all knew what sect he was referring to. Everyone grew silent.

After quite a long pause, the silence broke and everyone's eyes were looking up at the sky when a scream of a girl was heard. Something, someone in the sky was falling.

Wei Wuxian immediately jump and caught the teenage girl.

"A-Niang!" The girl exclaimed.

Lan Xichen with the usual smile on his face approached the girl who was still clinging to Wei Wuxian. "Young Maiden, I can see from your uniform that you are of a GusuLan Sect."

The girl released her hands from the hug. Her eyes grew bigger. "Uncle! Baba!"

The two Lan jades were dumbfounded. Lan Wangji frowned. Lan Xichen, "It must be a mistake, young maiden. May I know your name?"

But the 'young maiden' already turned her back and let her eyes roam the place. "This place looks familiar. Oh! This is Caiyi town." Her brows met. "But why does it look a bit different." She uttered before he turned to Wei Wuxian. "A-Niang, what are we doing here? Are we here to treat me? But why did I fall from the sky? As far as I remember, I was on my way to wake mei-mei up."

"Little miss, I don't understand what you are talking about even the way you are me calling A-Niang. I'm clearly a man..." Wei Wuxian looked at Jiang Cheng but the latter just rolled his eyes at him and turned his back. "...who are you?"

The 'young maiden' was taken aback. "A-Niang? You...you don't know me?" She looked closely at the man she called A-Niang and examined him then she turned to the two Lan jades of Gusu. When she realized something, she gasped and shook her head. "N-No!" She wailed. "A-Niang! Baba!"

Lan Wangji spoke coldly. "You are of GusuLan. Making noise is prohibited. Shouting is prohibited."

"Lan Zhan! Have some conscience. This beautiful maiden might just be frustrated over something." Wei Wuxian stoop to the 'young maiden' who shrunk and cried. "What is your name, young maiden?"

The girl sniffed, "Lan Xian, Lan Yuyan."

"Lan Yuyan, what a nice name."

Noticing the girl's forehead ribbon embroidered with cloud patterns, Lan Xichen frowned. "One moment, young master Wei. This young maiden was wearing our main family's forehead ribbon."

Wei Wuxian scanned the young maiden's appearance. The child must have been one of the blood-relationship to the Lan family. This is his first time seeing a female cultivator of the Lan Sect but he was curious as to why the two Lan jades seemed confused. "What's wrong, Sect Leader Lan?"

"There is no girl born in the Lan Clan direct blood relationship yet and in our main family, aside from my father, my uncle, and Wangji, no one was allowed to wear the same forehead ribbon as ours."

All other Lan disciples that were present there also agreed.

Lan Xian stood, wiped her tears, and patted her clothes. She was certain that she traveled back in time. Her parents looked so young like they were just around her age. Though she is only 12, her appearance says different. She wanted to deny her origin but she won't be able to due to her uniform and forehead ribbon.
