SC20 - Test of Huiyi

The people residing in the Mohu village happily welcomed the cultivators who successfully entered the forest and came out unscathed. However, the disciples were all silent and cramming in one place except for Jin Ling who is sitting beside his uncle, and Jingyi who was mopping like an idiot in the corner. Other disciples either pitied him or were scared to comment.

Wen Yang chose not to go out. Knowing that his son is fine, he rather kept himself inside the sick ward. However, Wen Zian came running when he heard of the doctor who came to help the villagers. Even more so, when Wen Qian told him that it might be the sect leader.

When the door opened, a smiling boy entered the room. Ecstatic to see his father, he shouted "Baba!"

Wei Wuxian was stupefied hearing the son of Jingyi called Liu Yang as his baba. Until Wen Qian who followed Zian bowed and called him "Sect Leader Wen".  The most unfortunate thing is, that Future Jingyi left his son in his past self's care so naturally, the past Jingyi would protect his future son with all his might so he followed them after. And the secret was revealed.

Jingyi screamed at the top of his lungs causing Lan Yanli to wake up. The girl cried and hugged Wei Wuxian while calling him A-Niang. He thought that the child is having a bad dream so he patted her back to sleep again. Lan Yanli slept again but her grip was too tight, Wei Wuxian couldn't put her back to bed.

The room has other patients too. Since Jingyi was too stunned, they decided to get help from other disciples to bring Jingyi out of the sick ward. Wei Wuxian ends up carrying Lan Yanli earning a scowl from Jiang Cheng.

"Senior Wei, isn't that Sizhui's daughter?"

"Yeah." Wei Wuxian answered.

Wen  Qian wanted to correct him but Wen Yang was quick to cover her mouth. "You, seriously, Gege will punish us both."

"Hey, Liu Yang uh so...you are Wen Yang and you are Jingyi's husband?"

Wen Yang scratched the back of his head and looked down. "Yeah. Gege is..."

"Shut up! It's not true! I'm not a cut sleeve!" (P) Jingyi strongly denied it.

(P) Jin Ling smirked. "Haha...of course, you'd say that but the people from the future won't deny the truth."

"Ha! Don't tell me I don't know that you—" (P) Jingyi immediately covered his mouth when he realized that the Jiang Sect Leader was there. He was aggravated, confused, and felt betrayed by his future self.

Jiang Cheng's ears perked up. "What were you trying to say just now?" He asked. 

"Jiang Cheng, stop scaring the kids. He is too shocked already." Wei Wuxian said while gently patting the back of the child in his arms.

"Hmph! Is there something you were trying to hide from me, Jin Ling?"

 (P) Jin Ling immediately denied it. "Of course not! I don't even know what he is trying to say." Somehow, he has an idea but he immediately turned it down because there's no way that Jingyi would know about his complicated feelings. He is not careless enough to show his affection.

When (F) Sizhui and the rest arrived in the village, Wen Yang immediately told them about the situation. Past Sizhui sympathized with his friend and comforted him.

"Why do I feel like you already know about it?" (P) Jingyi cried.

(P) Sizhui smiled bitterly. "They gave me heads-up before coming here. Zian is here so it's impossible to hide your future self's relationship with Young Master Wen."

(F) Jingyi clicked his tongue. "Sizhui, no need to be respectful with this idiot. Your uncle, Senior Wen, adopted him so he is technically your cousin."
