Heyy, it's me here. Sorry it's been forever since I last updated. I would give you one of my many amazing excuses running through my head right now, but I won't. I am simply a lazy procrastinator. Sp? Well, anyway, I now have this chapter, so sorry once again for not updating in forever. ;P
(Disclaimer: Pictures are not mine. I do not own any of the other naruto characters. I only own Dalila and any other OC characters that may come into the story. Enjoy!!)
After a while into the forest, we are stopped by a group of rain village ninja. "Do you believe the nerve of the sand ninja? Challenging us head on? "Yeah. They're a bunch of fools!" "Well, technically, you stopped us, so it's you guys who are the fools." I tell them with a shrug of my shoulders. "Too bad kids, you should have picked your opponents better." Did he seriously just ignore me? Now you're all going to die!" the rain ninja in the middle says. "I've heard enough out of you. Let's make this quick. I don't want to waste time on this guy." Gaara says, monotonously. "Hey, Gaara, doesn't it make more sense to follow these punks and gather information first? I mean if they have the same type of scroll as us, then we're just fighting an unnecessary battle." Kankuro reasons. "I don't care. They look at me the wrong way. So they're going to die." Gaara responds.
"Oh! I wanna help! I wanna help!" I say, bouncing up and down where I stand next to Gaara. He turns towards me and nods his head, barely noticeable. "If you think you can kill us, then try it!" the rain ninja says before throwing his umbrellas up into the air. He makes a hand sign before mumbling something. Gaara and I simply blink our eyes. "Up, down, left, right, wherever you go, I can get you. There is no blind spot in this jutsu." As he finishes talking, the sebon needles come flying towards us. Then, all of a sudden, a giant dust cloud covers us. I look over at Gaara and see his sand protecting himself, and I, because I was standing next to him. "Is that all you can do?" Gaara asks. I stifle a laugh at the rain ninja's expression.
"It can't be!" he exclaims. "Not one bullet! Impossible. Alright." Then, he makes another hand sign and more sebon needles come flying towards us, only for Gaara's sand to block it. "A sebon rainstorm, huh, I have an idea, let's make it rain blood instead." Gaara says. "He's created a wall of sand." The rain ninja says. "That's right. It's a defense and nothing can get through it. He carries around all of the sand in the gourd he has on his back. And when he's attacked, he uses his chakra to harden the sand. It's a jutsu that only Gaara can do. And somehow, it happens automatically. Independent of his will. So any attacks against him are doomed to fail." Kankuro explains.
"Yeah, well, we'll see!" The rain ninja yells. "Just face it, you guys can't hope to defeat Gaara. Especially if Dalila decides to step in." Kankuro says. I look up as I hear my name. "Huh?" They just shake their heads at me. Then, the rain ninja starts running towards us, and Gaara forms his hands into a triangle. "Sand coffin!" Gaara says, and shoves his hand out, palm facing the enemy. All of a sudden, Gaara's sand wraps around the rain ninja. "I can't move!" the ninja exclaims. "Let me go!" Gaara walks up to one of the umbrellas that have fallen to the ground. "All I have to do is cover your big mouth, and you'll be dead." Gaara says as he picks up the umbrella.
He opens it and rests it on his shoulder. I go and stand next to him, but slightly behind him. "But that would be too easy and too boring." Gaara continues. He lifts his arm and the giant sand blob with the ninja in it raises above the ground. He moves his hand into a fist before saying, "Sand burial!" In an instant, the sand constricts and the ninja's blood spurts all over the place. Gaara lifts the umbrella over us, so that none of the blood would touch us or our clothes.
"There wasn't any pain. I crushed him with more force than necessary. So it was over quickly. The corpse's bitter crimson tears flow and mingle with the endless sand. Feeding the chaos within me. Making me stronger. "Just take the scroll. Here." The rain ninja says as he places his Heaven scroll on the ground. "Take it! Please spare us!" Gaara tosses the umbrella to the side before bringing his arms up and pointed them towards the other two ninja. Sand wraps around the two of them before Gaara makes his hands into fists once again. And like the other ninja, they are completely obliterated. Kankuro goes over to the scroll and picks it up. "We got lucky. It's a Heaven scroll." "Alright, now let's head to the tower." "You, shut up. It's not, it's still not enough for me." "C'mon Gaara, Let's go." "What. Are you scared? Coward."
"Look, Gaara, I know this test is no problem for you, but it's dangerous for Temari, Dalila, and I. One set of scrolls is good enough. It's all we need to pass." "Losers, can't tell me what to do." Kankuro grabs the front of Gaara's cloths. "Alright, sometimes you have to listen to what your big brother has to tell you!" "It's too bad I don't think of you as my big brother at all. If you get in my way. I'll kill you." Gaara knocks Kankuro's hand off of him. "Wait, just hold on Gaara. You don't have to treat us like we're the enemy. Look, do it as a favor for your sister. Please?" Gaara still raises his hand. 'Alright, I've had enough of this.' I think to myself.
I walk over to Gaara, but before I can do anything, he closes his fist, and inside I see his cork. "Alright. Let's go." He says before putting his cork in the opening of his gourd. (That sounded so wrong XP) He turns around and begins walking. I jog up to him and grab his hand with my own. He squeezes my hand with his. I hear Temari and Kankuro sigh with relief.
"Hey, Gaara, You still never let me help you with those rain ninja." I tell him as we continue walking. He looks at me before looking forward once again. "Next time you can. I promise." He says with no emotion. "YAY!!" I scream with excitement. And with that, I let go of his hand and pick up my pace. The other three follow my lead. And in no time, we reach the tower. We open our scrolls and Baki-sensei appears. "Congrats. You passed the first exam. Just go through that door, and there will be bedrooms and places for you to rest." We nod our heads and walk through the door. In the room there is a couple of couches and another hallway with many doors, where I assume the bedrooms are. We all got bored and decided to just explore. "Just like I thought. There's no place to go!" Kankuro says. "We've already waited a half a day, how much longer are they going to make us wait?" Temari asks as we enter another room. In there, I see three of the leaf rookies. It was the hyuuga girl, bug boy, and the boy with the dog. We begin to pass them when I stop and head over to them. The other three simply continue to walk. They know I can handle myself.
"Hey. I'm Dalila Lupei. When did you get here?" I ask them. "Um, I'm Kiba Inuzuka, this is Akamaru, Shino Aburame and Hinata Hyuuga. We just got here a minute ago." The boy with the dog, Kiba, says. "Oh, nice to meet you!" I say with a sigh. "When did you get here?" Kiba asks. "Uh, we reached the tower exactly and hour and 37 minutes after it started. So we've been here almost all day." I tell them. I laugh as I see the shocked look on their faces. "Well, I'm tired, so I'll see you guys later!" I say to them with a closed eye smile, before I turn around and race off to where my teammates left.
I catch up to them right as they were about to go into three separate rooms. "I'll sleep in here, Kankuro in there, And Gaara and Dalila in that room." Temari explains as we break off and head into our rooms. I quickly change into my Pj's before flopping down onto the bed. I feel Gaara slide in next to me. "Night, Gaara." I mumble before drifting off to sleep. The last thing I heard before sleep overtook me completely was Gaara saying "Night Dalila."
