Alex and Y/n had been dating for 2 years when Y/n was diagnosed with Tuberculosis. As a child Y/n's parents never made her get vaccinated. She had the symptoms for a month before going to the doctor. She had been coughing and losing weight for a long time but started getting fevers and chills about a month before she went to the doctor. "Alex, I'm scared. What if I don't make it? What if I die and you're left alone? What if I ..." Alex cut her off "Hey, It's ok. You're gonna make it out of this. I'm gonna get you the best stuff out there. We're both gonna be fine" He hugged her and started talking to the doctor about treatments and what they could do.

"What you have to do is, I'm gonna give you a prescription for 2 medications that she's gonna have to take for 7 months. The side effect of the medicine is that she will bruise/bleed easier so she's gonna need to be careful. I'll give her a check up at the 2nd, 4th, and 6th month marks." Alex took her to get her prescriptions and they went home.

1 Month

Y/n has been feeling a lot better but she has a few bruises on her hips from doorknobs and cabinet handles. "You need to be more careful around doors. You're gonna really hurt yourself" Y/n laughed. "I'm gonna be fine. You're not my dad. I can take care of myself." This time Alex laughed "Yeah cause I definitely don't have to remind you to take your meds everyday" They both laughed.

2 Months

They were at the doctor's office. "You're doing much better but I couldn't help but notice the bruises on your hips." Alex and Y/n burst out laughing. "S-She needs to be m-more c-careful around d-doors"Alex said while laughing. At this point the doctor is laughing too. "Great just be more careful and i'll see you in 2 months"

3 Months

"STOP PLAY FIGHTING WITH THE CAT" Alex was angry because she was bleeding again. "But he's so cute and likes to playfight and I just can't resist it" She laughed a little. "When you are off medication that makes it easier for you to start bleeding than you can playfight with Tiger all you want. For now though it's got to stop. Ok?" She said a small ok and Alex hugged her.

4 Months

"Now you've got scratches on your arm. What goes on at your house?" Alex sighed and Y/n laughed. "She likes to playfight with our cat Tiger. I told her to stop and she doesn't do it as much anymore" The doctor started laughing with her. "Oh boy. I guess she's a handful?" Alex laughed slightly. "Yeah but I love her" "Love you too"

5 Months

"OW" Alex rushed to where he heard the noise. "How did you fall down the stairs?" She laughed a little "So I was walking down the stairs right? Then I fell" Alex sighed. He picked her up and put her on the couch. "Wow that was such a thrilling story" Alex wasn't happy but he couldn't help but laugh.

6 Months

"Oh my gosh! What happened now?" Y/n laughed a little. "So I was going down the stairs and you'll never guess what happened next . . . I FELL" They all were laughing. "You need to be more careful or you're gonna seriously hurt yourself" he paused. In the most serious tone ever he said "Alex do better" and walked away.

7 Months

"You're all better! You survived!" Alex hugged Y/n tightly. "We did it!" She laughed then paused. "Wait WE i think you mean I did it" He laughed "No you couldn't have done this without me" They all laughed. "Yeah that's probably true" That night they had a small party celebrating that she was all better.

1 Year

It was time for the speeches at the reception of their wedding. They had been officially married about an hour and a half ago. "Remember that time when I could've died? Yeah well I think about it a lot because of how thankful I am that Alex was there and took care of me. Even when I was being annoying. Thank you Alex. I wouldn't be here without you." Everyone awed and Alex gave her a little kiss.
