Sansa took a deep breath as she helped Finn out of the car, she was so nervous about what was going to happen today and she wished that there was something that she could do to help her son.
Sansa made sure to pick up her son's bag, he would be in hospital for at least a week and she knew that she would be here every day to make sure that he was okay; Finn was everything to her and she was glad that he was going to get the treatment that he needed.
"Mama... I'm scared," Finn whispered holding on tightly to his mother as she closed the door and locked the car, Sansa was almost glad that Marco had stuck her on his car insurances since he couldn't drive right now.
The couple might have gotten back together but Sansa and Marco hadn't really done much in the week that they had started their relationship anew.
"It'll be okay," Sansa replied trying to reassure her son, she had to be strong for him and she knew that this wasn't going to be easy; she would have to leave him alone when he went for his surgery.
Finn followed his mother into the hospital, he kept a tight hold of her hand as he looked around the white walls and wondered why he had to stay here.
Sansa had done her best to explain things to her son, he knew that he wasn't well and that he was coming into hospital to get better; she hadn't wanted to scare him and she knew that it would be okay.
It didn't take them long to check into the ward where Finn would be spending the next week, it was a nice quiet ward and Sansa was sure that he would be fine here.
The nurses in the room where more than helpful as they led Sansa and Finn over to the bed that was his, Finn looked around a little nervous there were other children on this ward and they all seemed so quiet; it un-nerved him that it was so quiet.
Sansa thanked the nurse before she turned her attention back to Finn, she smiled at her son before she helped him sit on the bed; the operation wasn't for another couple of hours and they had a bit of time before that.
"Is Marco coming?" Finn asked softly peeking up at his mother curiously, he had noticed how close his mother and the footballer had gotten recently and he had a feeling that Marco was here to stay.
Sansa paused for a moment as she set Finn's bag on the bed, they needed to change him into his pyjamas so that he was prepared for his operations.
Sansa wasn't entirely sure how to answer Finn's question, things were odd between the couple and they were getting used to being together again; she had no idea what to say to explain this to Finn.
"Maybe," Sansa settled on, she knew that Marco had training that morning and that he had a match that weekend; she didn't want to get under his feet and today was about Finn.
Sansa knew that Marco was doing his best when it came to Finn, he had a lot on his mind when it came to the little boy that could have been his son if it hadn't been for Connor.
"I hope he does, I like him," Finn said smiling at his mother as she moved to pull the curtains closed, she was going to get Finn into his pyjamas before he had a chance to disappear and play.
Sansa smiled a little, she was happy to hear that her son like Marco and she was sure that they would work this out; she wanted things to settle down before she made anymore decisions.
"I like him too," Sansa replied softly, she looked at Finn wondering what he would think of her dating Marco; he'd never asked about his father and she knew that she would have to one day tell him the truth.
Finn smiled back as his mother moved to help him get changed, he liked how happy Marco made his mother.

"Would you stop looking at the clock?" Mats demanded as he turned to glare at Marco, he had no idea what had gotten into his best friend but he wished that Marco would stop it; it was like he was waiting for something to happen.
Marco blinked surprised at his friend's outburst, he hadn't been expecting it and he knew that he was driving people up the wall today with constantly wanting to know the time.
"Sorry Finn has his operation today," Marco explained peeking at the clock again, he wished that he could have been there and he hoped that the four year old was okay.
Mats shook his head, he didn't like how attached Marco had gotten not only to Sansa but with Finn; he had a horrible feeling that his friend was going to do something stupid.
"Just get your head in the game... we play Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend," Mats muttered walking away from Marco, he knew his friend was keeping something from him and he feared that Marco might have gotten back together with Sansa.
Mats had nothing against Sansa and he did want his friend to be happy but he truly didn't think that it was a good idea for the couple to get back together after what had happened between them.
Marco watched his friend walk away and sighed, he was beginning to get the feeling that no one would be happy when he announced that he was dating Sansa again.
Marco peeked at the clock one more time before he made a decision, he quickly looked around the training pitch before his eyes landed on Jürgen Klopp; he hoped that the manager would let him leave the session.
Marco had somewhere that he needed to be and he wasn't going to be able to focus on training while Finn waited for his operation; he rushed over to Klopp knowing that he was doing the right things.

Finn sniffled and clung to his mother as the doctor appeared to take him up to surgery, he didn't wish to go and wanted his mother to go with him; tears trailed down his face as his mother tried to calm him.
"It'll be okay," Sansa whispered trying to get Finn to let go of her, she would be here when he got back and she knew that this was for the best; she offered the doctor an apologetic smile as she continued to try and sooth her son.
Finn shook his head, he didn't want to go with the doctor and he wanted to stay here with his mother; he held on tightly to his mother's shirt while she tried to sooth him.
"I want Marco," Finn declared looking up at Sansa, he pouted knowing that the footballer would be able to protect them; he didn't want to go for his operation and just wanted to go home and play.
Sansa felt her heartache, she hated doing this to her son and she knew that it was for the best; he needed this operation if he was ever going to get better, this was just the start of his treatment.
"Marco's..." Sansa started to explain, she was surprised that her son was asking for Marco when they had barely known each other two weeks; she guessed that he was growing as attached as she was to Marco.
"Here," interrupted a voice making Sansa and Finn look around until they saw Marco, he looked a little sweaty and it looked like he had rushed out of training to be there.
Sansa didn't know what to say, she hadn't been expecting Marco to turn up at the hospital; she could imagine what Marco had agreed to, to be here with them.
"It'll be okay," Marco reassured moving to comfort Finn, he didn't regret leaving training and he knew that he had made the right decision to come to the hospital.
