It's been four months since I landed during the invasion, and New York City is slowly getting back to the way it used to be.  I've been living at Stark Tower, which is now Avengers Tower, and Tony is finally gonna give me my job today.  I walked into the meeting room, where Tony was already there with his "assistant" (sure, that's why she's around) Pepper Potts, and Natasha Romanoff.

Tony: Oh, you're here.

He stood up, and gave me a fist bump.  For the past few months, he's sorta been like a father figure to me.

Natasha: Alright, Leek, are you ready for the assignment?

I nodded and sat down, as Natasha pushed a button and a TV screen turned on.  On it, there were a number of security clips of other people in costumes.

Tony: These people all have super powers.  We need you to track them down, and try to recruit them to a new team we're making, called the Young Avengers.

I kept watching as the videos showed the people stopping crimes and saving people.

Natasha: Do you think you can do it?

I grinned.

Leek: I'll have 'em all here in three days.

Natasha smiled and Tony laughed and tossed me a flash drive.

Tony: That's got all the data we have on these people.  We've figured out some of their civilian identities, but we know all of their hero names.  I'd suggest you start with Miles Morales, since he lives the closest.

I nodded, and ran out of the room, up towards the helipad.  Before going up, I put on my hoodie and put the flash drive in my computer, pulling up Miles' file.

Leek: Miles Morales... Scarlet Spider... Brooklyn!  There we go!

I wrapped my tail around my waist and pulled my jacket over it.  I ran up to the roof, and it was snowing.  I jumped off the roof, and blasted off towards Miles' address.

Timeskip

Leek: Alright, it should be right... here!

I stopped over an apartment building, and slowly floated to his floor, landing on the fire escape.  I sensed for energy, and I found it.  A level much higher than a normal human.  I walked along the fire escape until I reached his window, and peeked inside.  There was a boy sitting there, wearing headphones and on his computer.  He couldn't be much older than I was.  I thought about how to approach this... eh, whatever.  I knocked on the window, and he fell out of his chair.  He turned around and looked surprised, taking off his headphones before walking over and opening the window.

Miles: Hi?

Leek: Hey, mind if I come in?

Miles: Uh... sure.

I climbed in the window, and he sat back in his chair.

Miles: Alright, who are you and why are you here?

Leek: The name's Leek.  I'll cut straight to the point.  I was sent here by Tony Stark.  He said he really wants to meet the Scarlet Spider.

Miles: Tony Stark wants to meet me?  I mean...

I smirked at him, and he sighed in defeat.

Miles: Dammit, how did I fall for that?

Leek: I dunno, but I'm not lying.  Get your suit on, and meet me at the roof.

And with that I disappeared, leaving a very confused boy in his room, wondering what just happened.  Five minutes later, I was sitting on the roof, drinking hot chocolate from a thermos, when someone landed on the roof behind me.  I turned to see Scarlet Spider, and offered him a thermos.

Leek: Cocoa?

Miles took the drink and sat next to me.  The snow had stopped, and I used my Ki to melt away the snow on the roof so we could sit and talk.

Scarlet Spider: So, how did you figure it out?

Leek: Well for one, your energy signature is much higher than a normal human.  Also, a super spy lady told me.

Scarlet Spider: Oh.  Wait, normal human?  What are you then?

Leek: I'm a Saiyan.  Warrior race from another world.

I unwrapped my tail, letting it poke out from behind me.

Scarlet Spider: You know, honestly nothing really surprises me anymore.  So, why does Iron Man want to meet me?

Leek: He's putting together a team called the Young Avengers.  You were high priority on the list, and I read about your powers.  You're the first one I came to because I figured you'd be able to help me track down and convince some of the others.

He looked like he was thinking it over, before finally coming to a conclusion.

Scarlet Spider: Alright, I'm in!

I smiled and we fist bumped.  We talked for a while, and I could already tell we were gonna be good friends.

Leek: Alright.  You free right now?  We can probably try to find some of the others.

Scarlet Spider: Hell yeah!  Who's next?

Leek: Next up is a girl named Bombshell.  We don't know her real name though.

Scarlet Spider: Wait, Bombshell?  I know her, we're going out on patrol tonight!

Leek: Going out on patrol, huh?

I smirked and he sighed.

Scarlet Spider: Come on, man.

Leek: Alright, alright.  We can talk to her tonight.  How about this guy.  Daniel Rand, or Iron Fist.

Scarlet Spider: Danny?  I know him too.  Wait, HE'S Iron Fist?

Leek: Yeah.  You know where he lives?

Scarlet Spider: A few blocks from here, come on.

He jumped off the roof and swung away, as I flew after him.  We finally made it to his house, and I told miles to wait on the roof while I went to the front door and rang the bell.  A few seconds later, a boy opened the door, and I recognized him as Daniel.  He had black hair, and was about an inch taller than me.

Leek: Hi, are you Daniel Rand?

Daniel: Yep, that's me.  Can I help you?

I threw a punch at him, but before I could hit him he punched me in the gut.  It felt like I was hit by a truck... one that was also on fire.  I flew back onto the sidewalk, but quickly jumped up.

Leek: Nice to meet you, Iron Fist!

Daniel: Who are you, and what do you want?

Scarlet Spider: Woah, Danny, hold on!

Miles landed in front of me, putting his hands up.  Daniel looked surprised.

Daniel: You're... the Scarlet Spider?

Miles took off his mask, and showed Daniel his face.  He was shocked.

Daniel: M-Miles?

We went in the house, and Miles explained the team to Danny.  He accepted the offer, before turning to me and giving me a fist bump.

Daniel: Sorry I hit you so hard, Leek.

Leek: Don't worry.  I had to make sure you were actually Iron Fist, but I was not expecting that.  You hit like a truck, man.

We laughed, and Miles and I headed towards the spot where he was set to meet Bombshell.
