ShaNeika's POV
"Um, it's nice to meet you Mariah and Rebecca you do know him stop playing games. That's your ex Mark."
"Yeah, Rebecca, you don't remember me?"
"Oh yeah! You that stupid boy that got that girl over there pregnant and watched us fight! Yeah, I know you.!", Rebecca said laughing.
"Care to explain Mariah to us?", Tiara said, sitting down on the couch.
"Hold on, Mark, go pick up Brandon from my mama's house. She said he's getting on her nerves. I told you that your son was bad, boy."
It got silent in the living room. Tiara looked at Mark, Mark looked at me, I looked at Rebecca, and Rebecca looked at Tiara, looking mad as ever. Her daughter moved even closer to her mama, scared as ever.
"Oh, so you kept your child, Shaneika?" Rebecca asked.
"Yes Rebecca, I did. I mean I had to think about It because Killing an innocent child was a no no, So I told Mark I was going to keep the baby, and he was fine with it. So November 15th, 1999, we had Brandon Shikel Johnson.
"Okay, but Tiara where can me and Mariah put our suitcases at?" asked Rebecca.
"Yes, go to your old room."
Rebecca and her daughter went upstairs to the room. Everybody was silent for a while because we were shocked that Rebecca didn't go off on anybody at all. Tiara turned on the TV and start watching it. Mark got up and left to get Brandon. I just sat there waiting for Rebecca to come back downstairs. We really need to be cool again because the past is the past. Don't let the past hurt your future at all. Ten minutes later, Rebecca came back downstairs and sat on the couch, looking at me weird.
"Anything you have to say to me, Rebecca?"
"As a matter of fact," Rebecca stood up and walked to my face "Yes I do. Did you really think telling me about your child was going to make me jealous or mad? Hell no! Why would I be still be mad over something that happened ten years ago? Well, I still am, but still, I have my own life and my own child I'm worried about. I don't got time for this drama y'all got going 'cause it's not my business."
"Okay, shocked that you didn't go off, but I'm not asking it to be your business, but your daughter really looks like Mark's best friend."
Rebecca looked at me like she wanted to kill me, Tiara looked like she didn't know what was going on, and I heard the front door open; it was Mark, Brandon, and Bradley, Mark's best friend.
