"Ahh!" exhaled Guy as he came to a halt at the base of an unbelievably gargantuan waterfall. "We have finally made it!" he shouted, his hands on his hips and chin in the air. He swiveled on his heel and sent the group an ecstatic grin that twinkled against the brilliant sun's rays. "After we climb up there." He pointed to the top of the cliff and grinned. "We'll be in Takigakure!"
Midori, Tenten, and Neji blanched at the eccentric man. Aoi, on the other hand ... was prepared for the challenge, along with Lee and Toru.
"Lead the way, Guy-sensei!" Lee rushed up to his superior's side and placed his bandaged up hands on either side of his waist. "We will follow you! Right, everyone?!"
Aoi threw her fist in the air enthusiastically. "Yeah!"
Midori and Tenten had simultaneously mimicked her gesture; however, in a less excited manner. "Yay ..."
Toru suddenly sprinted passed them all, using his chakra to keep himself atop the water as he rushed toward the waterfall. Instead of attempting to run up it, he went through its water. His face soon met with an earthen force, causing him to spin from the velocity he'd been going and fall face first into water, floating away, pulled gracefully by the swift current.
Midori and Aoi shared quick, knowing glances before shaking their heads and walking over to where his body was.
The blue haired man rolled himself over and released a pained groan as his body continued to drift with the current.
Midori walked out into the knee-deep waters and bent over, grabbing ahold of his floppy wrist, dragging him to the shore, uncaring of his hair collecting some of the loose mud as she'd done so.
Guy and Lee hastily made their way over to Toru. They examined his seemingly lifeless state and went into a panic. Guy fell to his knees in anguish and placed his ear against Toru's unbeating chest. He gasped in horror and leaned back, tears brimming at the edges of his round, onyx eyes. The liquids streamed down his face as as he shifted his gaze over to the waterfall. "You monster!" he exclaimed, pulling Toru to his heaving chest and sobbing. "I will avenge you, Toru!"
Lee joined in on the man's overly-dramatic antic and broke out into a fit of rolling tears.
Everyone standing around them sweat-dropped and shared disturbed, concerned glances with one another.
Aoi propped her arms behind her head and kicked Toru's leg. "RuRu-chii, come on---I wanna get to this place so I can kick back and relax for a bit."
The fellow immediately coughed a couple of times and lept from Guy's grip. He patted himself down and threw his fists into the air in a triumphant manner. "I'm alive!" he exclaimed, a broad, goofy grin etching his face as he turned to face his subordinates. He clutched Ken's shoulders, causing his eye to twitch in annoyance. "Can you believe it, Ken-kun?! I'm okay; I'm alive!"
Guy stared at his empty arms in shock, then looked from them to Toru in confusion.
Ken removed his sensei's hands and blanched. "Please refrain from getting my clothes dirty, Toru; I happen to like smelling decent ... unlike you."
Lee hopped to his feet and sniffed of both males---Ken and Toru---then massaged his chin, pondering their scents. "I do not think that Toru-sensei smells bad." He smelled of Ken once again, then leaned away in partial disgust. Lee pulled a face and rubbed the back of his head, awkwardly glancing away as he said, "Ken ... you do not smell so good."
