Chapter 3

AUTHOR'S POV

No one would have believed that they were a family, if they were to witness the drama taking place in the Kim Mansion. The dinner long forgotten on the table, the servants standing silently in a far corner, a suffocating silence in the room.

Mr.Kim was glaring sharply at Taehyung while Namjoon was holding Mr.Kim's arm in a tight grip to prevent him from attacking Taehyung. Jhope was simply watching the drama unfold, ready to add more fuel in the fire, he basically wanted taehyung out of the Kim family. And Mrs.Kim silent as usual, wishing  Taehyung to just agree with his father's demands.

"HOW DARE YOU DEFY MY ORDER YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT?!! This is what you give me after years of wasting my money on your studies and necessities?! I don't give you the right to decide, you will do exactly what I say, whether you like it or not!!" Mr.Kim shouts, trying to break free from Namjoon's hold.

"Dad pl-"
"You don't speak in between Namjoon"
Mr.Kim glares pointedly at Namjoon, who's still holding him in an iron grip.

"And you be prepared for this marriage, I don't care about anything else" Mr.Kim shouts while glaring at Taehyung who was glaring back at him.

"I'm not doing this Mr.Kim. You can't force me. I have been trying to please you since my childhood but you never cared and now I don't care." Taehyung speaks back, turning around to leave immediately.

"WAIT!!" Mr.Kim shouts loudly, breaking free from Namjoon's hold following taehyung, dragging Mrs.Kim harshly along with him.

"YOU WANT TO LEAVE RIGHT? THEN DO IT!! BUT TAKE THIS BITCH ALONG WITH YOU! I don't need more problems in my life. If you decide to change your mind, then return her back to me or else never show me your faces again." Mr.Kim smirks, pushing Mrs.Kim towards Taehyung who falls down on the floor, crying badly.

"Honey honey what are you saying? Please don't do this!! Namjoon see what your father is saying. Honey please don't do this to me" Mrs.Kim pleas, sobbing loudly.

"Mom"
Taehyung holds her up, feeling bad for his mother. She has been his weakness and Mr.Kim never left a opportunity to use this against him.

Hoseok smirks enjoying the drama, if taehyung refuses to accept the marriage, they will get rid of two useless people from the family especially the oldie Mrs.Kim, he was fed up of faking care for her just to please Namjoon.

"Dad, mom has nothing to do with this. Please don't make her pay for taehyung's mistakes." Hoseok speaks with a fake sad expression "Taehyung don't you have a heart, just agree. Because of you mom is suffering too!!" Hoseok smirks at Taehyung, pretending to sniffle sadly.

Mrs.Kim pushes taehyung back hearing to Hoseok words, she screams "Just accept the proposal taehyung!! Because of you my husband is upset with me!! Can't you for once think about others happiness!! I've had enough of your tantrums, JUST AGREE"

Taehyung chuckles sadly, trying to control his tears, threatening to fall out from his eyes. He feels betrayed, his own mother was accusing him for being selfish, the same mother for whom he sacrificed his happiness many times, so she could live happily.

Taehyung finally accepts his defeat, he couldn't see his mother in pain, he takes a deep breath before turning to Mr.Kim who stood smirking in pride, not guilty for anything.

"I will do it."
Taehyung speaks calmly, feeling helpless, he just wanted to return back to his apartment.

"What was that? Speak louder Taehyung"
Mr.Kim mocks him.

"I WILL DO IT!! But on one condition."
Taehyung shouts, watching as the smirk falls from Mr.Kim's face.

"After this marriage anyone from this family, I repeat anyone from this family will not interfere in my life anymore. After this marriage, I owe you all nothing, we will be completely strangers neither you'll meet me nor I will. If you agree to this then we can proceed with the marriage and my lawyer will be here with the contract till tomorrow morning. Because I don't trust anyone one of you." Taehyung declares in a loud and confident voice wanting to make things according to his choice, this would be his chance to get rid of this good for nothing family.

"I WO-"
"Dad please, let him be. Just agree to this, after all this drama this is the least you could do for him. Please just agree to this. You will get a life long opportunity to work with the Jeon's resulting in huge profits, I don't think you need to hold back Taehyung anymore. Please let him go, please..."
Namjoon cuts off Mr.Kim, trying to convince the old man while a few tears escape his eyes in sadness. Namjoon was feeling extremely guilty for not being able to protect taehyung yet again, he was hurt that taehyung wanted to break relations with them. But he could understand taehyung's situation, he just wanted him to have a good life away from Mr.Kim's evil ties.

Mr.Kim scoffs at the emotional speech of Namjoon, but thinking that he had no use of Taehyung anymore he finally decided to agree to the condition.

"Just because you are of no use to me anymore, I agree to this condition. Send your lawyer with the contract papers, I'll sign it. Be ready to meet Jeon Family, they are coming to meet you tomorrow afternoon itself. And you may leave now, dinner is over." Mr.Kim smirks at Taehyung, leaving to his room while Mrs.Kim follows him immediately.

"Well, I think I should leave too now. Good night Taehyung" Jhope yawns fakely, leaving to his own room.

Namjoon stands at his same place making an eye contact with Taehyung, a guilty expression on his face.

"Don't-" Taehyung speaks brokenly, as Namjoon tries to speak something. He watches as a few tears escape Namjoon's eyes before hurriedly running outside to leave.

Taehyung unlocks his car, sliding in and resting his head on the steering wheel finally letting go. Tears escape his eyes one by one before he begins to sob loudly.
