Chapter 4

I am woken by the sound of my alarm and my mom is screaming my name to the top of her lungs. I scramble out of my bed and try and look my best, for no one in particular. I'm finally dressed and I look really good. I walk into the kitchen and as I'm about to get some cereal... Donald my step dad starts to speak.

"What are you doing?" He says.

"Well I am in the kitchen getting cereal obviously."

"You have breakfast at school and I'm not wasting my money on your ass. And you wanna get smart with me give me your phone little shit."

As I hand him my phone I walk to my room and I begin to cry. My makeup is all ruined and I just decide to wear a sweatshirt and jeans. He always ruins my day. I hate him so much. My mom walks in my room.

"Are you alright?" She says.

"Sure."

"Melissa you need to stop back talking and you will do fine."

"I'm so sorry if I can't eat breakfast at school if I seat there and let people throw cereal in my hair. I am so sorry I'm not beautiful. Have a very nice day mother."

My grandma arrives at my house to pick me up because Donald is too lazy to drive me and they are to lazy to wake me up early enough to take the bus. The car ride is short and I keep quiet. I tell my grandma Jane I love her and walk to the doors for school. When I enter the building I see my group of friends and walk up to them.

"Hey guys."

"Hey what's wrong?" Says Maria.

"Oh I got my phone taken that's all."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah." As our group continues to have small talk the bell rings and we all walk down the hall together. Then all of a sudden we see someone. We see Nate with two girls. They look like twins but just a little different hair cuts. We all laugh and they give us all weird stares. The girl with the red short hair looks like she could kick some ass, but the blonde girl looks really sweet. I feel like I should warn them but I don't even care. As I walk to Science I see the Blonde twin sitting right infront of mine and Grace seat. So Grace decides to walk over there to talk to her and of course I tag along.

''Hey I'm Grace.'' She puts on a really friendly smile but I already know it's a fake smile.

''Hey I'm Michelle. I'm new here, and oh my gosh you guys are really pretty.'' As soon as that comes out of her mouth I know she's lying. I bet she knows all about Nate and him cheating on me. I bet they did things while we were dating.

''Oh that slut.'' I mumble.

''What?'' She says.

''Oh sorry I was thinking about a girl.''

''Who?'' Grace says. I give her a look and she smiles.

''Tiffany.'' I lie.

''Tell me about her.'' She says with a big smile.

''Well I was dating this guy and we have been dating for about three months and he fingers her while we were dating. Then when I confront him he's excuse is ''Oh she's ugly so it's alright''. I really can't stand him, nor any girl who talks to him.''

''Oh my god. Is it Tiffany CummingBird?'' She asks.

''Yup.''

''And the guy. Is it Nate Zester?''

''Yeah.''

''Oh my god. I was with him this morning he gave me his number and Tiffany was with us. You must hate me. I am so sorry.''

''No I don't. You didn't know so it's okay."

''So you guys can be my friend?"

''Of course.'' Says Grace. The bell rings and we head off to Spanish and that Michelle girl is actually pretty cool. When I start to walk to spanish I see Lee. He looks so good today. I meet off with Francis and we walk.

''Hey hurry take my picture.'' She pulls out her phone and takes a picture of me with Lee's butt.

''Send that to me.'' I say

''Dang girl he has a nice butt.''

''I know!''
