"Hey Mike? Are you going to Amber's Party this Saturday?" Jane asked Mike as they walked side by side through the hallway, "Are you?" Mike asked her, he hated going to party's if she wasn't coming with him. "Of course I am, I was going to ask Max but she's busy Saturday." She giggled.

Mike didn't even understand why Jane and Max were spending so much time together, Mike and his friends never spent that much time together since they were like ten. But maybe it was diffrent because they were girls.

"You guys might as well be dating." Mike mumbled under his breath, "Huh?" She looked at him, tilting her head a bit.

Mike didn't actually believe Max and Jane were dating behind his back, no one was gay in Hawkins..Or atleast no one was out.

Hawkins wasn't the most accepting place, people were stuck in their ways. They said it was "wrong" and "unnatural". Mike wasn't like everyone else, if one of his friends came out to him he would totally accept them.

"Uh, I have to go to the bathroom, I'll see you later." Mike walked off towards the bathroom as quick as he could, "Oh, see you later I guess.." Jane said, disappointment in her voice. He felt like he was going to throw up, he was beginning to think Jane wasn't even his girlfriend anymore. And that scared him.

Mike wasn't trying to be mean by leaving so quick but he couldn't stand to hear her talk about Max anymore. That's all Jane could talk about, he hated it.

He wished that Max never came to Hawkins. He was happy for Jane because she finally had a best friend. But he thought it was odd how much time they spent together, him and Jane never used to spend that much time together and they were a couple.

He walked into the bathroom, it looked like a horror movie. There were bloody tissues on the floor and little drops of blood in the sink. What happened in here?

He searched all the stalls, finally finding a person in the very last stall. There were a couple more tissues on the ground and a plain Grey backpack that was resting against the toilet that was oddly familiar.

"Are you okay?" Mike asked, his voice was quiet and a genuinely worried even though he had no clue who this person was. He assumed Troy had beat up some poor kid again, this happened way to often.

"Go away." A raspy voice answered, they sounded like they had been crying and drained of all their energy.

"No, you need help. You shouldn't be bleeding this much." Mike hated to see people get beat up by Troy on a daily basis.

"Please just leave me alone. I'm fine, I swear.." They said, pulling their feet up off the ground and onto the toilet seat.

"Okay but..Do you need the nurse? It seems like you're bleeding..Alot." Mike asked, he had dealt with Troy alot in Middle School. He understood how to handle this type of stuff, and just sitting there bleeding was a pretty shitty idea.

"Listen, you don't have to help me, it's just a bloody nose." Mike rolled his eyes, he knew better. He would feel guilty if he just left the person there to bleed and not get help.

"I'm not stupid, dude..I get that you're embarrassed or something but please go to the nurses office before you bleed to death." Mike wanted to stand up to Troy but it was practically impossible.

If anyone ever stood up to Troy, he would just go cry to his dad, who was principal of the school. So his dad would just let him go "With a Stern warning" which was total bullshit.

"I don't even know where it is." They said, "Then let me show you were it is." Mike wasn't going to give up, he'd bring the nurse to this person if he had to. No one had ever help Mike when he got beaten up by bullies. It felt really fucking bad to feel like no cared.

"Fine." They said, standing up and opening the stall door, "Will?" Mike had completely forgotten about running into him earlier.

Will was holding a wad of toilet paper against his nose to stop the bleeding. His hair was a mess and his eyes were really red.

"Wha- D-Did Troy beat you up?" Mike asked, even though he knew the answer. But one thing he wanted to know was why? Will seemed so sweet, not like Mike had much to go off since he had only bumped into him.

"Can you just tell me where the Nurse's office is?" Mike could tell Will was annoyed with him, Mike meant well, he was only trying to help. But, he also understood how much it sucked when Troy would do something like this. It was awful.

"If you go down the hall and turn right at the art class room, it'll be right there." Will nodded and began to head towards the door.

"Wait, Will!" Mike ran over to him and wrote his number on paper towel to give to to him

"What's that?" Will asked, "Just in case you need me..Troy can be really mean." Mike said, holding out the paper tower for him to take.. Will just smiled at Mike, even with a broken nose that small gesture made Will smile. Or maybe he found it amusing that Mike thought Will needed him.

"I don't your help, Mike. I'm fully capable if protecting myself."

"Just take it."

Mike wasn't quite sure why but that smile made him really happy, he had a beautiful smile, an innocent one. It made Mile feel kinda warm inside, he didn't really understand why. Maybe he was just happy because he helped.

"Thanks Mike. You're a good person." Will smiled even bigger as he took the paper towel from him.

"No problem."
