"Can we just Tell them?"
Charlie snorted and threw her pillows back onto her bed. Rudy had often brought up the conversation over the past few weeks by wanting to tell their friends that they were dating each other. Charlie disagreed and wanted to keep it to himself. "we've been through this, why can't things just stay how they are?"
He sighed and sat down on the bed "because i'm tired of hiding it from them, okay? they're our best friends and don't you think we should tell them?"
"I thought this was just casual? not serious."
Rudy swallowed "what? oh, well i thought it was"
"I just think it's better in the long run. You're gonna get bored of me, so there is no need to tell them." Charlie really wanted to be with Rudy, but something in her head told her to take it all as an affair. Eventually everyone would leave her just like her father and mother did. In their eyes, love was meaningless, it was just pain waiting to happen.
"I'm not gonna get bored of you, Little Star." he whispered, stepping forward and grabbing her hands, "i really like you."
"What are you trying to say, Chichi?" he said, you could hear the pain in his voice.
Charlie took a step back "we need to end this before one of us gets hurt."
"You can't do that, Charlie."
"rudy, it's for the best."
"why are you doing this? you can't just shut me out when you get scared okay? I thought we should tell them because i'm pretty serious about you, and i thought you felt the same way."
"can we not do this right now."
"why not?"
"can you leave please?" Charlie whispered. Rudy shook his head and walked through the door, out of the room.
