Chapter 12

Josh and I exchanged phone numbers and we've been texting for a while now. I still don't know if he's being flirtatious or just being plain out nice. He actually called me once to see how I was doing. It was so unexpected, his voice sounds hotter on the phone. If that's even possible. I can tell him so much like I can be who I really am with him. Not this straight cold-hearted bitch that I act like. But a girl that needs to be cared and loved for.

Just a normal girl.

I almost considered telling him about Damien, but not just yet. I should wait for a little longer.

It's been a week since my last adventure with Josh. I'm waiting for him to ask me out but he hasn't.

It's Friday, no one is home. Dad's working, Max is in school and Philip has the day off. I'm all alone in my room tidying up somethings. I have so much stuff under my bed. I found my red flats that I have been looking for over 3 weeks now. It's like I'm treasure hunting. I hate seeing my room messy, I try to keep it as neat as possible, but I always manage to mess it up again.

My phone vibrates on my bed. I get up from the under my bed and see the message.

Josh: Good Morning

Me: Good Morning

Josh: Are you home right now? I see your lights on but I don't see you

Me: That's because I'm cleaning under my bed lol

Josh: Oh Hows that going for you?

Me: Not so well

Josh: Sorry lol

Me: You don't have to be. So what's up?

Josh: Oh YEAh! I have a surprise.

A surprise gosh what can it be? I bet it's something lame. He always does these silly jokes on me.

Me: Let me guess you finally found where they sell those Banana hats?

Josh once said my head was shaped like a banana and that if he would get me to wear a banana hat I would look like two bananas combined. Which makes no sense at all, being my head isn't shaped like a banana.

Josh: No not yet I'm searching for one though. I'm going to call you, give me a sec.

Me: okay... I'm nervous

Josh: Don't be :)

My phone starts to ring it's Josh. I pick up.

"So what's so special about this surprise that you can't text me about it," I said smiling. I'm such a girl.

"Look out your window," he said excitedly.

"Okay?," I said confused. My heartbeat quickens. Josh's window isn't that far from mine. He could hop over if he wanted to. I move my curtains aside and open my window. Josh is at his window, I can see into his room. His room is clean and his bed is nicely done. 

"Hi," I said.

"Hey," Josh said.

"I'm going to hang up now," I said into the phone.

"Oh yeah," Josh nervously hung up the phone.

"So what's the great surprise?" I said.

"Well, you know how you said you wanted to live in the Forrest?"

"Yeah," I said.

"We'll meet around 3:00 at the park that's like a block away from here. Tiger Park?" he looked up at me. His eyes are so attractive. I just want to sink into them.
