My Only Friend

Corey walks me to his house, and then we enter his room. It's not as big as mine, but more like the cozy room I've had in London. I continue crying and he hugs me tightly again, takes me by the hand and leads me towards his bed. We lie down and cuddle, while I sob into his chest. After a while, I fall asleep comfy in his arms.
I wake up and look around. Then I remember, I'm in Corey's room. I try to get up, but there's a heavy wait on my waist and down. His leg. He put his flicking leg over me while we were cuddling. Corey's arm is also wrapped tightly around my waist. I try my best to get up without waking him up, but to no good.
"What are you doing?" he asks in a sleepy, groggy deep voice. "Sorry, I'm thirsty... and... sorry for taking up your time," I say to him. "It's okay not to be okay. I'll go get you some water, you just try to calm your racing mind," Corey says as he gets off the bed and goes out the door.
A few minutes pass and he's back with a water bottle. "Thank you," I thank him, taking a few sips. "Do you want to now talk about what happened?" Corey asks looking me in the eyes. "Maeve was my bestfriend since kindergarten. Liam has been my boyfriend since I was 13. Him and I broke up when I was leaving for London at 15. Maeve, Liam and I agreed that it'd be best for us all if they didn't date each other after I left in case I came back, except..."
Tears are running down my face and I'm sobbing, unable to finish my sentence. Corey kisses me, and I kiss him back. I stop him as he attempts to take my shirt off. "No, not now, please," I ask him. "Okay Ele, whatever you wish," he complies. "Corey... can I ask you something?" I question. "Go ahead, anything," he responds confidently. "Why are you so... so nice to me?" I let out. He doesn't know me, I barely know him. Yet he's my only friend I have right now, and I'd like to know why that is.
