The next two pages were, once again, held together tightly by dried liquid and/or completely unreadable. This one seems to be a setting in the late afternoon. There's different handwriting again. Perhaps 'L' is the one who wrote this.

"January 2nd,

M's beginning to recover from their injury. They were knocked out of a tree by something and hit their head pretty bad. It was tall and yellow and had a bright, red stare. We've retreated back to my apartment. It wasn't too far to get to the car and I was still in the correct shape to drive and make a break for it with M back there. I thought about going to the police, a hospital, anything, but M told me, they told me that nobody would believe what we had just done. That these guys were hard to catch and talented at not getting found. And that plus, if we told we'd be tested for drugs, they'd find the 'Shadow Infection' or whatever, and boom. I don't feel safe. I've been seeing things. Hearing things. Something's been watching me from the woods. All we can really do now is hope that we didn't do something horrible and were about to get brutally murdered.

-L"

The shadow infection, huh? I know of one from Mirrorscale, I'd have to do some digging but I think I might know what they mean. Otherwise, this was a bad idea. I'd like to say that I hope they're okay now but the tattered state of this notebook whispers otherwise. Perhaps they found out that not all stories get good endings.
