I have finally come across a page that wasn't 2-6 stuck-together-pages away from the previous one, so that's good. In the last page we learnt about M's supposed head injury they had received and how the two decided against getting help. This page is actually relatively clean and legible, so they might not've been in a panic to write it. This seems to be the same handwriting as M's.
"January 3rd,
I'm back and awake! L told me that I had been up for two days prior, but they must've been out and dreaming, too, cuz I don't remember any of that! They told me that they were awake and that it was the 3rd already. Dang, so we missed New Years! My resolution would probably have been never to make a mistake like this again, but I don't think we'll get the chance to, anyways. I coughed up a bunch o' blood into the sink earlier. Mildly concerning, since that's not a normal healthy behavior. L said that if I do it any more we'll go to the doctor's. I sure do hope I'm not sick. That'd make it harder to get past our little fictional character issue. All L had been ranting about in that tree was how we've probably caused a negative impact to so many people. We're on the verge of being murdered right now, though, shouldn't we worry about ourselves right now? Either way, I'm scared of the doctors. What if L or I blurt something out and end up revealing the length of our mistake? They'll label us as crazy. Maybe we'll get sent to the 'funny farm' as my dad once called it. Maybe the things we brought here will get more angry with us if we tell.
Speaking of those things, I don't remember there being any animals that looked like that in the woods. It looked like a weird, pale deer or something. But smaller and deformed. I don't think it sees us, though, so we're probably safe."
Yeah, something tells me they're not safe. That sounds like either a skinwalker/flesh pedestrian/meat sprinter or some other urban legend. What's with the humans and making scary stories based off eldritch horrors in the woods, anyways?
