"Ugh. Shut up." I groaned as I hit my annoying alarm clock.

I hopped out of bed quickly, probably too quick because next thing I know, I'm falling on the floor with a loud thud.

"Ouch. Dang, that hurt." I said as I tried to get up, but was interrupted by someone barging into my room. I quickly hopped up into a fighting stance but calmed down once I saw who it was.

"Ryan, what's wrong?" I asked, breaking the few seconds of awkward silence.

"Alpha," He bowed his head.

"I heard a loud thud and thought something was wrong, so I ran up here right away." He responded, out of breath.

"I'm fine. Now, go back downstairs so I can get ready." I said as I was making my way towards my bathroom that's connected to my room. I stopped once I realized he wasn't moving.

"Ryan?" I asked, trying to get his attention. He looked at me.

"Yes. Sorry, Taylor. I was mind-linking Mason. He says the guards have caught unfamiliar scents at the southern border." He said as he rushed out the door.

I ran into the bathroom and took a 20-minute shower. I hopped out, brushed my teeth, and put my hair in a ponytail. Well tried to anyway. It's just so curly.

I ran to my closet and slipped on a black short sleeve shirt and black cargo pants with some combat boots. What can I say? I like the color black.

I ran out my door and down the stairs and saw everyone running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

"Everyone calm down," I said as I entered the room. I guess they didn't hear me because they kept running around.

"Everyone, please calm down," I said once again but got the same result. It felt like they were ignoring me, which ticked me off.

"CALM DOWN!" I yelled out to the crowd, making them stop immediately. The silence was brought to the room.

"Our apologies, Alpha. We all heard the commotion of some scents at the southern border and started panicking." Mary, the mate of my third-in-command, Mason, said.

"It's okay," I said quickly. I need to get to the southern border to figure out what is going on.

"Now, I want everyone to stay inside until further notice. We cannot risk the safety of the pack if this is a threat." My Alpha voice boomed in the small-medium sized living room.

Just as I was about to continue, Ryan was trying to contact me through the link.

I opened it up, and instantly voices started booming in my head. I told everyone through the link to be quiet and stay off of the link until I tell them or unless it's an emergency.

'Ryan. Any updates on the smells by the border?' My wolf was on edge. She didn't like trespassers, and neither did I. Especially rogues.

'Yes. And you're not going to believe this,' he paused then continued, 'The beta and the third from the neighboring pack are here to speak to you.'

'Neighboring pack? The Yellowstone pack?' I asked through the mind-link.

'No, Taylor. Even though I wish it were, it's the Silverstone pack.' He mumbled

I growled in response. The Silverstone pack is the number one strongest pack in North America. My pack is second. The Alpha of that pack is Joshual Freeman, the most vicious Alpha.

'Well, aside from us, of course.' My wolf, Rose said proudly. I had never met him in person before because it wasn't a reason to.

'Alpha, you st-' I cut him off saying:

'I'm on my way.' And cut the link.

I made my way towards the southern border to see what they could want. I hate mornings, and to make it worst, I haven't even had breakfast.
