19- Nightmare

After eating, I was nervous but Adaman's hut did have a couple extra beds. He smiled and spoke. "The single bed is mine. Normally Leafeon was on the bottom bunk, but now he cuddles with me. And I get the feeling Eevee will either do the same or just not be on a bed. So go ahead and sleep on either one." "Right. Sorry I have to be here..." "You're not bothering me." He shrugged and hung his coat on the wall.

I smiled and Buneary glared at him. I just pat her head and smiled.

"Don't worry Buneary. You're still going to be with me." She nodded and Adaman smiled.

Mai's POV

"So... what were you saying to Adaman? About her?" "Oh he really wants to be in a relationship with her. Of course, he can't just outright tell her, so for once, he's taking this slow. I just like teasing him about it. And he just kept talking about how amazing she was. Something along the lines of, 'surprisingly strong and talented and beautiful part of the survey corps and it's a shame she's not a part of the diamond clan'. Of course, she's completely clueless to how he feels." Arezu laughed a bit and spoke.

"So Adaman is actually taking his time trying to get her to like him?" "Oh she already does. Thing is, there's another kid who likes her too. She likes both of them. So I'm just curious how it'll turn out." Arezu nodded as she laughed. "Oh! Can I join in on teasing him? It sounds like fun!" "Sure, But you cant really let (Y/n) know entirely. Just seeing Adaman desperate to not ruin their relationship, even when knowing that she feels the same, is quite funny." She nodded and smiled.

Reader POV

I yawned and so did Eevee. She stretched and Adaman smiled.

"Hey (Y/n)." I looked and he was sitting on his bed petting Leafeon with Eevee on his lap. "What's wrong?" He just smiled and spoke. "I've been curious. Have you done anything with the diamond?" "Diamond..?" I was confused before remembering.

"Ah! I completely forgot about that!" I was worried and he smiled. Eevee was panicked too and searched my satchel. It was still there luckily and she sighed in relief. I pet her and mumbled. "Sorry... I guess I've been so worried that I forgot about it..." He smiled and nodded.

"It's alright. Besides, if I remember correctly, Eevee was the one who wanted it. I just got it." I nodded and smiled. "Right. But... why the sudden question?" "I was just curious. That's all." I nodded and smiled. We yawned again and he mumbled. "Alright, time for me to sleep." "Me too..." I mumbled and laid down. The others got comfortable around or on me and I smiled.

"Mama? Mama!" I heard and looked around. I soon saw the source of the voice a bit to the left of where I was originally facing.

I walked closer to it and gasped. It was when mom died. The tiny, child version of myself crying while I didn't quite understand the situation but panicked when mom didn't respond. Mom covered me when metal and glass had been flung back to us.

"Mama!" The child cried while shaking her and avoiding being crushed. I took a step back and mumbled. "Wh-Why am I dreaming about this..?"

I flinched when I heard an explosion and it hit a bit of the child's skull. When that happened, they fell down and fainted. It was then that I saw some scrap metal being flung towards her again. But before I saw it become an immediate danger, the vision ended and I was surprised.

"See that? That accident was your fault. Your own mother is dead because of you." I gasped and turned with the sudden voice behind me. Father was there and smirked but something didn't feel right about it. I stepped back and spoke.
