The Final Batte

tom, Maddie, (Y/N) and sonic made it to  San Francisco, where they saw the building they were looking for. " wow, look at that thing" sonic said. " what happens now?" Maddie asks as sonic took off, they wait for a moment before he came back. " no good. you need a special key to get to the roof." sonic said, " time for me to abuse the power entrusted to me." tom said as (Y/N) looked at him, "dad, what you thinking?" she asks, " you'll see." he replied. they walked into the building before they made it to reception. " we got a jumper on the roof. gotta get up there fast or we're gonna have a human pancake on our hands" tom said before showing his police badge to the woman, " you came from Montana" the woman said in confusion. tom nodded his head, " Yeah. that's how serious it is." tom replied, the woman then looked at sonic and (Y/N) as she raised an eyebrow. " it takes your kids to work day" (Y/N) said, the woman nodded and headed a keycard to tom. 

they made it to the top of the building where sonic saw the rings, he smiled as he picked them up. " this is it" Sonic said as he held up a ring, " okay, what happens now?" Maddie asks. " now all I have to do is think of where I want the other end of the ring to appear, and I throw it." sonic explained. " so that's it? we did it?" tom asks. " yeah, we did it." sonic said. there was a moment of silence, " Hey, I'm sorry about your family. but if you even need anything you've got us." (Y/N) said, sonic smiled as he said, " thank (Y/N), I'm glad I've got a friend like you" (Y/N) blushed a little as Maddie said, " you two are so cute" " mum" (Y/N) groans making sonic chuckle too. sonic took a ring out and was about to throw it but he stopped and turned to (Y/N), " hey, just one more thing." he said he takes a step towards (Y/N) and placed a kiss on her lips, " awe" Maddie said as she placed her hand on her heart. they let go of the kiss before sonic said, " promise me something, don't be hard on your dad, I know it's a tough decision for you to leave green hills, walking away from something you care about has to be painful." sonic said. (Y/N) takes his hand, " you're not sure you really wanna go, huh?" she asks. " I don't wanna go, but if I stay here, Robotnik will take over your town, just like he did with mine. I'll just put everyone in danger. but these last two days have been the best of my life." sonic said, (Y/N) chuckled as sonic looked at tom, " and tom, thank you" he said. " for what?" tom asks, " for saving my life." sonic replied, sonic turns to throw the ring but then saw Robotnik's drones surround them. " okay. did someone leave their" find my phone" on?" sonic asks. sonic looked up and saw a jet ship fly in front of them, the lid opens to reveal Robotnik. " welcome to San Francisco, Mr Wachowski. I hope you're enjoying the clam chowder? " Robotnik said. "I'm sorry who is this?" Maddie asks, " it's the government wackjob who keeps trying to kill us." tom asks, " yeah, unsuccessfully!" (Y/N) yelled out making sonic chuckle, " nice of you to swing by on your way to comic-con. " tom said, " yeah, what are you wearing?" Maddie asks. Robotnik looked at his clothes and said, "it's a flight suit, designed to modulate my body temperature and reduce drag." sonic scoffs and said, " yeah, and yet you still are one." (Y/N) laughter as she fist-bumped sonic, " oh, good one. you are catching fire, Allen" Robotnik said. sonic was shocked at how he knew his real name, " how do you know my name?" sonic asked. then Robotnik held up a gold ring, " this ring showed me your memories, your past and how to defeat you." he said. " really cause form the last time we met sonic head-butted you in the face." (Y/N) said with a proud smiled, " and it awesome." she finished. " the time for talking is over! it's time to push buttons." Robotnik said. " your flying eggs are pretty impressive, Mr Eggman, but let's face it. you'll never catch me. " sonic replied with confidence, " confidence! a fool's substitute for intelligence." Robotnik said before he activated his robots. " that's not good" (Y/N) said as she hid behind sonic. " sonic, I know you got the super-speed and everything, but Maddie, (Y/N) and I..." tom started in worry, " totally defenceless? probably gonna get blown up?" sonic finished as he turned to the both,"  pretty much, yeah" Maddie replied. sonic smiled as a plan was in his head and said, " don't worry, I know exactly what to do." then sonic used his superspeed to get behind them before pushing all three off the building, Robotnik was in shock as he looked over his ship before leaning back in his seat, " I was not expecting that, but I was expecting not to expect something, so it doesn't count." Robotnik sid before his drones fired at sonic. sonic reached for his wrist and clicks the device but nothing. he closed his eyes ready for what was about to hit him when nothing.
