Rabbitspring's Fate

Chapter 8

Rabbitspring shrivelled back. If Kinkstar killed her, Crowstar would for certain declare war on EmberClan.

"You can't do that." Blackscar hissed.

"And why not?" Kinkstar asked the medicine cat.

"She needs to rest, she can't even move, Lilyspeaker is no threat to you." Blackscar replied.

" Her existence in my clan is a threat to all of us!"

"Not if she's hurt!" Blackscar hissed.

Kinkstar looked up with her eyes closed sassily.

" Well, I am the leader, so you will do what I order."

Blackscar bristled. " You won't be for long if you keep that up..." She mumbled.

" What did you just say?!"

"In the warrior code the leader must listen to what their medicine cat says, and your doing nothing of that sort, I have the power to take away your leadership for the sake of the clan, then Currenttail could become leader." Blackscar mewed, stepping up to the EmberClan leader, "I'm actually surprised that AuroraClan had accepted you as EmberClan's leader."

Kinkstar snarled. " Pff. ArouraClan! there is no such thing!"

Blackscar gasped in shock. " But you must believe in ArouraClan! They are the ones who gave you your leader's name and lives!"

Kinkstar chuckled. " I didn't get my lives from them!"

" Then who did you get them from?!" The old medicine cat demanded.

" NightClan, of course."

Blackscar snarled. " I knew you were evil! Mother was right to worry about you! Mondostar should have exiled you the moment he got the chance!"

Kinkstar smiled and mewed.

" I was his mate, there was no way he could have banished me."

Rabbitspring gasped and unstealthed her claws, she was going to help Blackscar in this fight. No matter the cost. Slow and steadily she got up, her back full of pain.

"Leave Blackscar alone!" Rabbitspring hissed.

" What are you going to do? You can't move." Kinkstar challenged.

"But I can fight." She hissed, pouncing on Kinkstar, ignoring the pain.

"Lilyspeaker!" Blackscar yowled. Rabbitspring ignored the medicine cat clawing at Kinkstar's eyes and sides. Rabbitspring only stopped fighting when she couldn't bear the pain anymore and collapsed to the ground hissing at Kinkstar.

Kinkstar growled. " YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING MAPLECLAN TRASH!"

Kinkstar leaped at Rabbitspring, clawing her chest. Before Kinkstar could put the killing blow on her, Blackscar leaped in front of Rabbitspring.

She heard a sickening slash. She looked up to find Blackscar falling to the ground.

Rabbitspring gasped. The EmberClan medicine-cat was dead.
