Rabbitspring's Fate

{*Chapter 27*}

Note from the authors: I apologize for being late with updates. I am trying to make a schedule for myself with Rabbitspring's Fate and all, but Capricorn and I have been working on a greater and more detailed and exciting replacement for Brightflower that we both feel is more successful. The goal before was to just add the chapter whenever I finished it, but Cap and I realized that takes too long and so I am pushing for at least twice a week to update (Probably Mondays and Wednesdays).  But, since Rabbitspring's Fate is coming to an end soon, the updating will be off with me being sick all this week, but I promise I will finish this book for y'all. ALSO, at the end of the novel, Cap and I will be doing a Q&A for Rabbitspring's Fate and other books!!!) 

And now, Cap and I present Chapter 27 of Rabbitspring's Fate: 

It took a moment for Rabbitspring to comprehend what the young medicine cat had just said.

Why would Tigerwhisker take over MapleClan?!

"What?! Why?" she exclaimed. Poppyseed glanced outside for a second and looked back to her, her eyes solemn.

"Just after you went missing, Tigerwhisker raided the camp with a bunch of PhantomClan warriors and took down Crowstar. It turned out that Tigerwhisker and Quickstar were plotting together for moons to take over MapleClan for PhantomClan." Poppyseed paused before continuing. "Tigerwhisker is holding Crowstar hostage in the PhantomClan camp and took away his leader's name and gave it to himself. He and Quickstar now rule the clan as one leader. PhantomClan has moved into MapleClan and has taken over and is holding whoever rejects in the PhantomClan camp until they decide to follow Quickstar and Tigerstar. I'm only here because I am the only medicine cat, since Albatrossflight decided to have kits with Tamarintail and leave his place as a medicine cat, and they forced all of the queens to stay here so they have more members of their new clan."

Rabbitspring growled, after everything she had done for her mate, she had given up two of her kits to Baskingtail! Wait, she froze in terror, Softkit!

"I need to leave! Now I have to get a kit!" Rabbitspring mewed softly. She looked out of the den and gasped, there were guards everywhere!

She sighed, Rabbitspring would have to slip through the little hidden tunnel to pass the guards.

Rabbitspring was thinking of a plan when she felt a presence behind her.

She looked back to see Tigerwhisker!

Anger grew in her heart.

"How dare you." Was all she could say.

Rabbitspring didn't even let him answer before she hissed at him.

"What did you do with Softkit?!"

"I don't know what you're talking about, I don't even know you," Tigerstar growled.

"Give. him. to. me." Raabbitspring hissed, glaring at the leader.

Tigerstar just laughed,

"Why would I do that?"

"Your name is Tigerwhisker you are the father of five kits and are a loyal warrior and mate." Rabbitspring took a few steps closer to Tigerwhisker, her gaze cold, "I am Rabbitspring, I gave birth to your kits, I am a warrior of MapleClan and I need to protect the kit I brought here." Rabbitspring saw a familiar coldness in Tigerstar's eyes and a familiar warmth.

"You're never going to see Softkit again," Tigerstar growled.

"Then you won't mind me saying that he's my kit, I had another litter of kits with a cat named Baskingtail." Rabbitspring hissed, grinning evilly at her former mate.
