Alone

Alone is a power few can handle,
In pitch dark like a burning candle,
Call it loneliness or freedom maybe,
The darkness helps realise, who are we?

Alone begins with loneliness; no one to talk,
The group voyage now a solo walk,
As time moves on, it becomes a habit,
One enjoys it like the velveteen rabbit.

Alone is a blessing for people like us,
Afraid to climb the crowded bus,
The birth of greatest ideas is in the dark;
Fierce and scary alike the killer shark.

Alone when you sit in the comfortable chair,
Praying well for those you once cared,
For it was when they left you alone
That you were able to conquer your life's throne.
