My name is Ryan. I'm eighteen. I fell in love with a beautiful girl that never did get much attention in school. She was petite and beautiful and never talked until she met us. Devon ran after her on day one in the cafeteria. Jessica, his girlfriend at the time, was being a stupid brat. He followed her into the bathroom and brang her out to meet us. How he knew her...I had no idea. He knew her name, unlike everyone else in the school.
Before I met her, I was one of the worst kids out of the seniors. So were all of the other guys. She changed all of us. Morphed us into what we should have been all our life. She taught us what to be and what not to be...or at least she tried.
My brother ignored me when she moved in. He barely said anything to me or her. He was always out with his friends doing illegal stuff that I probably got away with at fifteen.
We had so many moments that I would never forget. I moved her into my house and let her live with me when her parents reacted the way they did.
We had secret memories as well. Memories I wouldn't even tell the guys. Memories that would be ours in our hearts forever.
When we went into hiding for those long weeks...she was frustrated. She wanted to leave and have these adrenaline moments. She wanted to feel the rush like she did when we were all safe.
And the day we turned into one person. The day that means the most to me. The day I took something from her that only one person could take from her. I took the card that meant she was pure. I took it and threw it away.
After being into hiding for a long time...she finally convinced me to let us leave. I hated seeing her upset...but was that better than keeping her safe?
When we got out of our secret location. Her parents were the ones who greeted us an earthly welcome. Her father pointed at her chest and fired with the most evil look on his face. And when he shot her, he didn't look the least worried. He looked rejoiced. And then he left with his wife.
We called the ambulance which took her to the hospital. The doctors took her right away. She had a blood clot and the bullet was giving her lead poisoning. She wasn't waking up either. So I couldn't speak with her. When it was really late and everyone was asleep, I took her hand in mine and spoke with her in the softest voice I could. And then I broke down crying. Crying so hard, the entire football team would have beat me up.
And then...she stopped breathing. And her heart stopped beating. And the doctors tried so hard to bring her back...but it was too late. She was announced dead at 3:30 a.m. Right on the dot.
And I was finally broken.

"Ryan, its time to get up," my Mom whispered shaking me the slightest as I was lying on my bed. It wasn't like I could fall asleep. I haven't slept in days. The viewing was today. And if I saw fake people there...I was going to make them leave.
My mom got Max, Noah, Devon, and I matching suits to wear for today and tomorrow. I didn't want to go and see her cold body in front of me. Knowing I'd never be able to touch her, or kiss her, or talk to her ever again.
"Just have Tammy cook the guys food. I'll be down on a second," I said in a groggy voice.
"Okay Ry. I love you."
"Yeah."
I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where everyone was sitting down. I looked them over for the first time in days, grabbed my breakfast, and sat down with my head bent down low.
"Hey Ryan," Max said with a small glimmer in his eye. I just nodded slightly and continued eating.
"What time do...do we have to leave?," Noah asked in a quiet tone.
