Ranboo's POV

(TW: Good Ol' Hugging And Whatever, Kind Of A Boring Chapter, Swearing?)

In the morning, I was pulled from my sleep as a result of the snapping and popping sounds of either sticks breaking or a fire crackling. Or both. The sun beamed onto my back, bringing a weak heat onto my spine. As I rubbed my tired eyes awake, I noticed I did feel tired but much more energized than yesterday night; I only woke up once during the night. I sat up from the ground, my face covered in the dry dirt I had slept on. I stumbled to my feet, dusting myself off as I turned my gaze up. My back ached a tad as a result of the weird sleeping position I was in all night and my shoulder didn't bug me as bad until weight was applied. Tubbo had a fire going, resting on his knees and breaking up some more sticks as he carefully placed them strategically into the flames. Quite a particular man. I watched as he stood up and started stacking the left over sticks wood off to his right. He was clearly unaware I had woken and I took high advantage of that. I went as quiet as I could, carefully approaching him from behind. I didn't want to be evil and scare him but I kind of did at the same time. I came to a quiet halt behind him, wrapping my arms around him carelessly. He was quick to whip around in my grasp, flipping out his pocket knife and holding it inches from my throat. I clearly did not think this through.
"For the love of god, Ranboo!" He scolded, glaring at me while he closed his knife and tucked it back in his pocket. I had my hands suspended in the air while I began to laugh.
"Jeez sorry! I didn't think you'd try and kill me." I shrugged, putting my hands down as I backed up a step. Tubbo stared at me, clearly unamused.
"Seriously? We are forever being hunted by Endermen and you expect me not to go right to death?" He replied, his tone sounded very unimpressed. I chuckled nervously, obviously feeling and looking stupid "You idiot." Tubbo huffed, backing away from me while he knelt next to the fire and he started putting more small twigs and such into the burning heat.
"Say what you want but we all know that I am your favourite. So, sorry but your words do no harm." I scoffed dramatically as I tossed my arms in the air and started circling around anxiously; maybe more excitedly rather than anxiously.
"Oh shut up." Tubbo muttered, furrowing his eyebrows as he hit me with a hard and slightly embarrassed glare.
"Ouch." I mumbled with an eye roll while coming to a calm halt next to him, staring into the flames as I lost myself in my spinning mind. I had a beautiful destination planned for us today and I didn't want to waste anymore time. That being said, Tubbo did just make a fire and I bet he's about to cook something but I'm not sure what since I thought most of the food Tommy had given us was cooked? Unless I was that stone dead last night. My mind was replying Tubbo's hug last night over and over and over again since it was such a comforting memory. Except the memory right after was Tommy's annoying voice of 'boyfriend that' and 'boyfriend this'. So...irritating.
"Ranboo, do you.." Tubbo trailed off, looking around for something. I turned my eyes down at him curiously. He finally found what he was looking for and held up two items, one being meat and the other being..a mystery bag I guess? "Do you want lamb from Tom or this Corse Fruit From me?" He asked, smiling slightly as he waited patiently for my response. My eyes widened and I went dead still as I processed what he had just said. Did he say Corse Fruit? I couldn't help but smile and he started laughing at my reaction.
"Corse Fruit?! Where on the earth did you get that? I-I thought it only..how did you get it?!" I gushed excitedly like a kid in a candy store while falling to my knees in front of him before I snatched the bag from his hand
"There was a tree in the woods and I collected some, now you have your own little Endermen snack." He giggled mirthily as he reached behind himself and pulled out a big bag, dropping it on the ground in between us. As I already had half of the fruit in my mouth, I hesitated to glance inside of the bag. I was quick to build up the courage to peek inside and sure enough, a massive stack of Corse Fruit. I don't think I've ever been happier.
"Oh wow..Tubbo that is..I haven't had Corse Fruit in many years." I replied lightheartedly, very much in shock that he collected so much of this fruit. He smiled sadly and tilted his head.
"I would've thought you would eat it all the time. Isn't that Endermen's main food?" Tubbo questioned, pointing briefly to the fruit I held in my hands. The juice of the purple fruit dripped into my mulit-coloured palms but I couldn't care less. As I chewed, I shook my head slowly.
"I wish but my dad refused to get me any after my mother had passed. You have no idea how grateful I am. But you are right, this is my kind's number 1 snack. It gives us the energy to last a couple days without sleep and it improves teleportation." I explained, biting into the soft purple quickly. I wasn't stingy with my bites, taking as much if not more than I can chew. Although Tubbo did seem sorry, he still smiled as I munched quickly.
"Well, at least they're not completely out of your life anymore. We can keep the seeds then plant them where or whenever we decide to settle with a home or something." Tubbo suggested happily, gripping my knee while he shook it excitedly. It brightened my mood every time he got excited about anything. Whether it was food, us, escaping death or even killing something. It doesn't matter, it still made me happy.
"Okay, okay! Chill out, you're going to snap my leg off." I chuckled, swatting his hand away. He rolled his eyes jokingly as he retracted his arm. My tails swayed happily beside me, curled like a spiral.
"So what's the destination you mentioned then refused to answer any questions about?" Tubbo spoke ridiculously quickly, clearly trying to throw me off. I heard 'so' and 'about'. I blinked with a deadpan expression.
"What?" I peeped, narrowing my eyes. He cracked up, almost falling into the fire due to his laughing which was confusing me more.
"What's the destination you refused to tell me about?" Tubbo repeated slower. I nodded as I listened, trying to chew before replying. Finally I swallowed and began to speak.
"Ohh, It's a place." I replied with a friendly smile, biting into the fruit. Tubbo's smile dropped but I could tell it was still there. I stared at him, waiting for his response with a smug grin.
"You're a jerk. Wipe that stupid smile off your face." He hissed, crossing his arms as his body sank angrily. I frowned playfully. The heat of the open fire started to warm me up fast.
"Awh, I thought you liked this stupid smile." I teased, taking another fruit from the bag and ripping it apart. He couldn't help but smile with a deep exhale of defeat.
"In all seriousness though. Where are you taking us?" Tubbo asked again, not taking the hint that I wasn't going to say anything. I was about to back talk with a snarky response  but before I could say anything, he held his finger up to my lips, signalling me to go quiet. "And if you say anything other than the answer, I'm tossing that bag off the cliff." He added, glancing down at the bag of fruit between us. I snatched the heavy bag from him, hugging it close while I shot him a hard glare.
"Stop threatening me. I'm not telling you because it is a surprise." I replied firmly, not in a rude way. He huffed and crossed his arms again but this time he looked more like a two year old throwing a fit as he was staring at me with his dull blue and white eyes. The star in his eye was small and dark which indicates he was not happy with me for keeping it from him.
"But the suspense is killing me!" Tubbo whined, dropping both hands on my shoulders as he shook me back and forth. I mumbled random sounds, frustratedly as I struggled to eat my food.
"Well, it won't be killing you for long." I informed, biting into the fruit as he proceeded to rock me back and forth. Shockingly, my shoulder wasn't aching horribly but it still had a bit of spazzing pain. His hands left my shoulders and dramatically he stood up and walked over to the bag, kneeling down and searching around.
"There's new clothes in there for you, by the way." I called over, not bothered to look over at him. He hummed in response and soon I heard him walk off. He wasn't going to talk to me for a little bit now, all over a surprise. Jeez.
"Don't you think you're being a tad dramatic?" I questioned which was not a good idea whatsoever. Tubbo peeked from behind a thick oak tree after leaving me without a response for a long while. He had changed into a long sleeve, dark green turtleneck under a light green, short sleeve button up and brown overalls that had an unnecessary amount of pockets.
"No, no I don't. I think you should tell me and until you do, no conversion. Starting now." He replied coldly, shoving his old clothes into the bag. I furrowed my eyebrows with an eye roll. Of course he's petty as heck too.
"Oh come on, you know that's not gonna last long." I stated, standing up and walking over to the bag. He didn't answer me, which is ridiculous. I took my old, bloody shirt and wiped the juice off my hands before standing up again and watching Tubbo move around. He wouldn't even look at me.
"Tubbo, come on." I whined, crossing my arms. He didn't acknowledge me in any shape or form and continued to clean up a bit before he settled next to the fire, putting some of the meat on a stick and holding it above the flames.
"Tubbo." I repeated sternly, walking over dreadfully as I rested in the soil beside him. Not a glance, a hum, nothing. It was beginning to bug me. But I didn't want to tell him. It would ruin everything. We sat in pure silence and it was killing me more than him which was embarrassing. I wanted him to break his own bet just so I didn't have to say anything but to my unluckiness, he was really good at staying together.
"Oh my god, fine! It's a building not too far from here. Maybe four hours away." I busted, feeling as if I've been holding my breath for 15 minutes. Finally he turned to me and smiled devilishly, knowing he won his stupid bet thing. "Shut up." I grumbled, hunching forward as I crossed my arms.
"Ha, I won. Sounds nice." He chuckled, nudging me playfully with his shoulder. I rolled my eyes, still mad that I broke that easily.
"Whatever. If you even want to go, we gotta pack up soon." I replied, watching as he carefully pulled the cooked meat off the thick stick and bit into it. He was quick to pull it out of his mouth, making random noises as he covered his mouth.
"Holy shit that's hot!" He cried, clumsily putting the meat down as he tried to fan off his mouth that I'm assuming he had burnt.
"Well duh, you just had it over an open flame." I scoffed carelessly while I waved my hand towards the fire. Tubbo looked at me with an emotionless expression as if I said something. I shrugged, waiting for his input.
"Say that again in any form and I will hurt you." He hissed, holding the meat out so the chill air could cool it down. I chuckled nervously then went dead silent in fear.

"Tubbo, did you get the fruit?" I questioned, putting a bow over my head as it rested on my back.
"For the last time. Yes." He replied flatly, doing the same with his bow as he tied up the bag of fruit and walked over to me with dread. I rolled my eyes with a slight embarrassed smile and shrugged, glancing over his shoulder to make sure the fire was put out. I anxiously zoned out as I took a final glance around the whole area, trying to make sure we had everything. After a second, I noticed Tubbo's hand waving in front of my face because he was clearly trying to regain my attention. I blinked into focus, bringing my head back around while I stared down at him. He looked unamused with a weak smile. I tilted my head, confused.
"Ranboo, you're okay. If we forgot something, I will come back for it." He assured me, patting my back as he turned me around. Forcing us to begin our walk. I stared at the dry soil and sticks beneath my feet for a minute then decided to get rid of this stupid mood. I was about to show Tubbo a home, for real this time.
