Chapter 6: Sudden Trust

XxLexiel123xX: You're probably right.. my sister cough blood..

RedglassGumiyo: This is serious, Allen. You wouldn't mind me calling that, right?

XxLexiel123xX: Yep~

Really, I wouldn't mind her calling me that. I'll just get used to it.

RedglassGumiyo: You should tell your mother about this.. it's serious to your sister's health..

XxLexiel123xX: And I'm doing it, right now, this night.

Suddenly I heard a doorbell rang, I stood up and walked towards the entrance, opening it and finally saw my mother. "Len, my dear, you seem very worried, what's wrong?", Lily asked and I didn't answered for a while. I just took a step to the side to let her in. I didn't know how could I say this to my mother, I hadn't noticed about my little sister's health, that couldn't be and would probably be needed to the hospital to get her cure, I wouldn't let that happen like what happened to my uncle. I didn't want her to see in the coffin, laying peacefully and didn't breathe anymore. "Mother, this is serious", I told her once she sat down on the couch.

Mother looked me in the eyes, worried and said, "what is it, Len? Is it about your sister?". I nodded, "yes, mother. She have - ", I supposedly said about my sister's health but mother cut my words off, " - Yes dear, Rin has tuberculosis.. ", my eyes went wide, shock on how she knew about it. Mother sighed deeply and looked away, "I'm sorry , dear. I didn't told you about it, I was so scared..".

"Mother, don't you know how I'm seriously worried about Rin!? Why didn't you tell me before? Why did I have to search and observe her weird acts!? And most importantly, why didn't you bring her to the hospital!? This is serious mother! I don't want my sister to end up like what happened to our uncle!", I yelled at her, tears started once again, falling. My mother looked me in the eyes sadly and guilty, she didn't tell me something, a reason why she didn't brought her to the hospital, "Len, my dear, we don't have enough money to pay for her bill when she's going to stay at the hospital, at least understand me", she said in a soft and sad tone. "I could just work, mom!".

"Sweetie, everything's going to be okay, there's few more money I need to keep it going for Rin", Lily said and I sighed deeply, "mom, I love my little sister very much, but why not ask some help from our father? You don't mean you guys..", Lily looked at me, really sadly and my heart had stopped, so father left us unexpectedly. How cruel of him, that was my guess.

"No, mother..", I shook my head repeatedly. There was no way father left us like this!

"Yes, dear, your father and I divorced..", she said slowly. I covered my face, Rin wasn't fine, mother kept many secrets that she was scared to tell us, that unexpected divorce. Father was supposedly be here, enjoying and making jokes to us. The past when Rin was little, mother and father endlessly fought that time, that's why I had to kept Rin inside my room and let her listen to my mp3. Their relationship wasn't going well and I thought they could fixed everything what they were fighting for. But I guess, I was wrong.

"Mother....", I whispered and silence took over us.
