Chapter 8: Connect

"Len! Len! Leeeeeeen! ", someone called me while I was walking by the hallway, it was Thursday in the morning, where students were free to chit chat and hang around the school building. Anywhere, whatever they like, I turned around to see Miku, carrying her phone as she stopped beside me, "you have a Vocachat app, right?", she asked and I nodded, "yep".

"Look, I've been chatting with a guy that loves ice cream! He reminds me of Kaito, somehow...", she said and showed their conversation to me. As I read, I could tell that he might be Kaito for sure. "Maybe, that's him", I told her and we both were walking together, "maybe, but hey. How's you and Gumiyo? Turns out well?", she asked, I nodded and smiled because she mentioned the name that I kinda have confuse feelings for her.

"Yep, of course, still like before", I said as I entered the classroom while she stopped there, waiting for me. I placed my bag down and walked out to have a coversation with her. She told me on how she met him yesterday and that they started to talk about his crush, he was kinda very open to strangers, even though they didn't know each other, he was still talking about it, he was very in love which making Miku squeal.

"I totally ship them!", she said and I crossed my arms, "what if he's a killer and that?" I said.

"Well, that would be awesome and cool!", she said and smiled. I shrugged and smiled back, "guess you made a friend unexpectedly", I told her which making her smiled widely. "Hey, want to see my sister after school?", I continued, she probably missed my sister so much since she was with Kaito all the time. Miku nodded and waved as she walked back to her class, hearing the bell rang, I got in to the classroom and sat down on my usual place.

After that, our break time started as I met the two at the usual spot we actually, together hang out, I opened the door to revealed Miku and Kaito, probably waiting for me so we could start eating.

Somehow, I felt alone deep inside.

Rin wasn't here and her secret was finally revealed. I didn't know she was hiding something from me, even mother. It was actually painful. Miku and Kaito were talking and finally they were seemed very close to each other. I sighed deeply on how I was out of place. I'm all alone without my sister's cheerfulness. She was in the hospital, curing her tuberculosis while I was here without her. As when Kaito and Miku paused their talk, I could guess they were glancing at me worries since I didn't spoke like I used to.

"Len, are you okay?", asked Miku which she successfully caught my attention, "I'm fine, don't worry", I said to make sure. "Len, that's not you, let me guess", Miku paused and looked at Kaito, then they both looked at me, "Rin..". I sighed deeply and nodded slowly, showing my sadness to them on how I was really worried for Rin. "She'll be okay, we'll see her again later anyway", she said.

"Yeah.. we'll see her again", I said slowly.

Kaito and Miku tried to comfort me and making me feel better by our laughter, they are a friend of mine but that was fast actually.

I smiled at the two when they were talking again, "I want to come", Kaito said and smiled.

"Sure, then", I agreed with a nod.

"After the visit, I want you guys to come with me to where the ice cream is, there we'll hang out more whenever we want!", he said happily and Miku looked at me, "you see? That guy from VocaChat reminds me of my crush", she whispered to me and I nodded.

As the school bell rang, we got back to our class.

The sun was setting, almost as the wind passes by, the light was almost gone at the room of where the locker was as I fixed my things, I found the picture of me and Rin, I looked at it with a frown when I remembered that she was at the hospital, hopefully she'll be conscious this time, my notification ring tone, rang as I pulled out my phone to see Gumi.
