Chapter 13: Careless

"R-Rin... ", I called out a whisper as my little sister just stared at us. Miku and I waited for her reaction. Rin slowly smiled at us and with a tears streaming down her cheeks, reminding me a tears of joy.

"B-brother?", she mentioned me. I smiled joyfully, "Miku?". Miku smiled widely at her and we both quickly walked towards her. Miku letting me go first to hug my little sister so tightly. "R-Rin, you're fine." I softly whispered that she can hear. Arms wrapped back around me, she was like a sunflower.

"Yes, of course I'm fine", Rin said softly and looked at me, breaking the hug.

I glanced at her for awhile, giving her my bright smile how I happily see my little sister wide awake, finally. Miku started to talk to Rin with her melodramatic conversation with fake expression mixed up true for making Rin laugh, which Miku successfully did and once again the two hugged each other.

Hearing the sound knocking on the door, I looked behind to see my mother opening it and surprisingly see Rin widely awake with Miku standing by her side. "Hello, Miss Kagamine", Miku said and bowed down for respect.

I smiled on what was going on. Mother was happy to see Rin, well everyone here does which means I didn't know what father's expression could see this. Why would I even think about my father?

He betrayed us yet he seem so worried about Rin. His daughter and they were fighting over about the bill for the hospital. I didn't know until now they'll just keep fighting or not but hopefully father will be back just for mother, and for us, especially Rin. Right now I would just shut my mouth and keep it a secret whatever happened that time.

Miku asked our mother if Rin will go to school tomorrow but mother wasn't so sure if Rin could go out and us paying the bill. Mother will plan to ask three doctor later when my little sister was asleep. As for me, I have exams soon that I need to focus on, whatever happens everything is fine for sure.

"Kaito, she's fine!", Miku cheerfully said to him and gave him a tight hug. I smirked at the two secretly. The halls were empty and the sun was rising as the morning sky will shine like as usual. Every each classroom was empty as two and three person each easily in it.

Kaito blushed a bit and hugged her back with a soft smile, chuckling, "That's great. I would like to see her later". Miku broke the hug and faced him, still her arms wrapped around him, "You should! She will be happy to see you too". Talking about Rin. I wonder if she was fine like yesterday.

Clearing my throat, the two looked at me. "You two are so sweet...", I teased which making Miku unwrapped her arms from his and approached me to hit my head, "You think me and Kaito will be together? You're so teasey today", she pouts.

I laughed and scratched the back of my head with a smile, "Yeah, it's fun to tease about you two". Hitting me again, "Oh, you shut your mouth!", Miku annoyingly said and grabbed Kaito's wrist, "Come on, let's get in and help me with my assignments", she continued.

"Aww, that is so sweet. Kaito, are you seriously going to do that?" I teased. "Probably, she always needs my help when it comes to science solutions", Kaito told me and Miku huff, "Just, let's go already!".

"Haha, alright", Kaito chuckled and Miku quickly approached inside their classroom with her force of pulling him in, "See you later then!", Kaito shouted so I can hear, "Yeah. Same with you two".

After class, I stood up from my place and checked on my phone what was up with Gumi but it seems like she haven't replied anything. She wasn't replying since yesterday and I haven't heard of anything from her, we used to chat a lot, maybe I did something wrong or I should recall what happened that time.
As I recall what happened, we were talking about relationships and including long distance. Then, it made me down because of the reason why she wasn't replying. Long distance relationship is hard alright. Some people can experience that and Gumi was right, what if that person didn't know what happened to their life and secretly has a crush on someone who was cheating on that person, that'll be too little too late for the person and they'll just keep on asking if he or she love someone from that place. The effort of that person just to see her or him will be a waste. Too bad for keeping the money to see them, too bad for their future, and promises meant to be broken. At least take on action right? Don't just depend on fate.

I sighed deeply and closed my phone for awhile, when I was about to walk, I just bumped to a figure and heard of the voice of a female, "Ouch...".

"I'm sorry!", we both said. Glancing at the girl I bumped with. She has red hair and blue eyes, looking in to mines, slight blush appeared on my cheeks and she fixed herself up, "Y-You go first".

"No, I'm a man, so ladies first", I gave her way and she smiled at me thankfully, "Thank you". Looking at her for awhile, that was what my mind wants, "Y-you're welcome", startled. She softly giggled and passed. No way, I shouldn't be crushing on her right?

"How's you and Gumi?" That was becoming her hobby.

"Haven't heard anything from her", I told Miku and bit my banana.

"Oh, well, mines. We talked about his crush again", Miku sighed and bit her leek with rice by her spoon. "You seem hurt", I whispered. "You like him don't you?" Smirking, Miku punched my arm and I squirm silently, rubbing the wound, "You think I like him, Kagamine? I have a real life crush. Unlike you, your crush is too far away from here!", she crossed her arms. My chest tighten about what she said to me, it does hurt when the person you fall in love was far away from you and you have no idea whatever she or he was doing any time and every day, including that you haven't heard about that because they haven't talk to you like they used to, like us. Well, it's life and there's so many complicated things you need to solve.

"S-So?", I stuttered.

"As if you're trying to not care about her. I can see it in your eyes that you really obviously miss her", Miku said to me and chewing her food. "Maybe she's - ".
"Maybe she likes someone in that country!", Miku cut my sentence and my feeling was becoming worst.

"Oh, shut up, Miku. That's not even true right?", I wasn't so sure so I have to make sure if it was true or not.

"Might be, how many people in this world lives?", she asked as I looked down, "Billions? Something like that?", wasn't sure of my answer. Miku grabbed the teal bottle and opened the crater as she drank it to push the food down, after that. She closed it and wiped a few liquid coning from the bottle by using her blue handkerchief. Facing me, "And you don't even know if she's keeping something from you. The question is, did you ask her if she likes someone?", I haven't think of that a lot. I'm a guy and of course every people would probably ask the love of their life or crush if he or she likes someone. Others will keep it, all will confess that they have one or not. That's the hard situation for now, including when you two are far away and you couldn't even help but to cry silently hiding your face by using the pillow when they like someone. Love shapes doesn't even get that away since that will be challenging (as what I saw in a certain post in a social media: "Which one you should choose? The one who loves you or the one you love?". Probably a hard question, it's challenging).

"No, I haven't...", I sadly said but trying not to notice my tone. "Then you should, in a right time and of course. You're too shy to tell her about it because it's awkward, right?" Miku said and I bit my lower lip. Well, that is true and I don't have an urge to ask who they are, the conversation will be too awkward and more depressing.

Whatever that is, I hope that I have an urge to ask her in my list of words, full of questions which it was all mixed up in my mind.
