Chapter 14: Faded Memories

"Hey!", Miku waved at me and I did back, she's finally with Kaito.

"Let's go?" I asked as the two nodded.

We walked by the streets to head to the hospital and check Rin, after the elevator. We approached to the assign room where Rin was and I was the one who opened the door to see my little sister eating oranges while looking at the window to see what's going on outside the hospital.

"Rin, we're here", I called out so she can look at us. "Brother, Kaito, Miku. You guys", she smiled at us. Kaito started to talk with her and Miku did the same. I watched them from this grey couch and being speechless at the same time. I was so glad that Rin was okay, she's fine and healthy but that wasn't it. Tuberculosis is a major illness all of these kinds, she may be go weaker and all of three cancers and viruses will enter as it kills her cells, dying slowly as I imagined her laying on the bed and sleeping never ending with her skin pale and a frown. No, that will not happen, tuberculosis has treatment so she can get better right? As for that, when Gumi visits in this country, she couldn't meet my sister anymore.

A few weeks passed and this time was really that I didn't expect it to happen. My little sister supposedly awake with a sun shining smile but now it started to get weird. It all started when Miku and I visited her without Kaito, since he was busy with some of the stuffs.

"Hey Len, heard about that Mister ice cream is having a surprise meeting with someone else?", Miku told me.

"Who's with that someone anyways", whispering. Miku shrugs and looked up at the sky, "And Kaito is doing something. He needs my help for preparation just because it's for his special someone!", Miku excitedly said. I suddenly realized about what she said.

She did said Kaito was going to prepare something and he needs her help right? And Mister ice cream said that he's going to have a surprise meeting with someone. I didn't want to let Miku know what I thought but I'm really sure I know who is Mister ice cream.

Miku and I finally made it as we went to visit my little sister. The elevator stopped and we approached to the entrance, I grabbed the door knob and turned it to unlock then push it to see Rin finally awake keeping her eyes staring at the window.

"Rin, I'm here", happily said with a smile. My little sister slowly turned her head and glance at us for two minutes, it was silent perhaps, this was new. "Rin, are you okay?", I asked her.

Her bright blue orbs meet us, still staring with a confusing face she's giving us and finally she spoke.

"Who...are you?".

"R-Rin...", I can't believe it she didn't know us but how? It actually hurt so much, seeing my little sister there and thought of us as a strangers. No, this can't be.

"R-Rin, don't you remember us? Your brother a-and Miku", I was really scared, seriously from all what I've done to her, she didn't remember us. What happened? Is she going to die soon? No, Len. Don't think of that!

"I-I don't remember that I have a brother...", my hands were shaking and my vision becomes blur. From all what I've seen if only this could be a dream. The water burned my eyes and I felt a warm liquid slowly fell on my cheeks, landed on the ground.

"N-No, Rin. This can't be...", Miku's voice was shaking, we couldn't believe this. Rin didn't remember us anymore. Miku started crying and she slowly walked forward to my little sister, she hold her hands and Rin stare at Miku, confuse on why she was crying, "W-Why are you cryi - -" the cough cut her words, she let go of Miku's grip and with her two hands, she covered her mouth with a hard cough.
