Author's Note:
First off- I'd like to apologize for the delay in publishing this chapter! This book was originally planned to be written by two authors, but I've had to take over since the other author can't keep up with writing this fan-fic along with everything else! Don't worry, everything will still be the same- just with more frequent updates! As always, I'd love for any suggestions or recommendations with this book! Thanks for all of the votes and reads, they mean so much to me! Now- here's the chapter!
Rose
I can't count the number of times that Diana and I have stepped on each others feet while wandering around the castle underneath the invisibility cloak. My fingers are curled around the silky fabric, determined to stay hidden. One gust of wind, and Diana and I could be in serious trouble. "It's just a little bit further I think." I whisper, my eyes glued on the enclave that was walking in front of us. Our plan was to follow a ravenclaw to their common room, and hopefully slip past their security. I knew it wasn't the most ingenious plan I've ever created, but it was all we had. I had no idea where Serena was. Ideally, we should have had someone follow her. Yet, neither Albus or Scorpius could have gone down to the tunnels alone, and Diana and I had need two people to complete this job.
"Are you ready to do this?" Diana asked, keeping her voice low. "Nope." I replied, " I can't believe that we are actually going to search her stuff. It just feels wrong." I couldn't actually see, but I'll bet that Diana had a smirk smeared on her face at that moment.
"It's worse to be communicating to creepy voices in the middle of a cave that doubles as a boat shed. If you ask me, we are just doing her a favor." Diana responds, her voice a scarce whisper.
I nod, even though Diana's opinion is still far from my own. The Ravenclaw in front of us has stopped, her brown hair whipping in the cool breeze that had entered the castle through one of the endless windows that haunted the tower.
"Ready?" Diana breathed, watching as the girl approached a large oak door, the only thing setting it apart from the other ones that lined the halls was the dainty doorknocker that was bolted onto it.
"Nope." I whispered back. Diana giggled, then turned her attention back to the ravenclaw girl, who was using the metal knocker to bang on the entrance to the ravenclaw common room. Before the girl could open her mouth- the metal bird that sat on top of the doorknocker rose to life, and the ravenclaw girl didn't even seem to care.
"What is the antidote that can cure all poisons?" The little bird croaked , watching as the girl pondered the question, which seemed to involve lots of mumbling on her part.
"I'll bet that it's a bezor." Diana guessed, rolling her eyes as the girl started to rub her chin.
"Why do you think that?" I asked, not caring to hide the surprise that leaked through my voice. "I just heard her mumble that." Diana whispered.
"Figures." I replied.
"It's nothing!" The girl shrieked, her eyes gleaming. "There is no single potion that can cure all poisons. A bezor can cure most, but not all."
The bird knocker seemed to nod it's head, and the big oak door swung open.
"Now Rose!" Diana said, nudging my shoulder as she ran forward, with me struggling to keep up with her. The ravenclaw girl passed through, Diana sticking out her arm to stop the door from closing.
The Ravenclaw common room was huge. The circular room was covered from floor to ceiling in stained glass windows, with elegant blue couch's pushed against the walls. Dozens of Ravenclaw kids were sprawled out on the floor, piles of papers and stacks of books in front of them. Honestly, If I had to picture myself in any other common room, this one would be it. There was just something about the way that the ravenclaw's did things that struck something inside of me. Dad would have killed me if I was anything but Gryffindor though.
