Scorpius:

My feet stay planted firmly to the ground as I watch the bookcase close itself, trapping Rose, Diana, and Albus on the other side. There's no trace of the voice that caused this mess, and I can't see anyone else on this side of the tunnel.

"Scorpius!" Rose's voice is frantic, the bookshelf making her high pitched shriek sound like more of a whisper. "Can you hear me?"

"Yeah." I mumble, pressing my ear to the book case as I speak. The spines that were once alight, the word Open glowing a fierce red is now gone. I drag the tip of my wand along the spine like Rose did, tapping each book twice as I move down the shelf.

"I can't get it to open!" I groan.

"Have you tried using your wand?" Diana's voice is strained, and I can picture her white face, her body stiff from when the bookcase threw her into the tunnels.

"I'm not an idiot Diana." I yell back, hoping that she can't hear as I mutter the opening spell, "Alohomora". The bookcase stays shut, the subborn hinges refusing to swing open.

If I had a choice, I'd rather be stuck on the otherside of that bookshelf. Being trapped with Rose, Albus, and Diana would be better than being alone inside of this tunnel. The shadows that dance back and forth against the cold walls send shivers down my spine, goosebumps forming on my bare arms. As I turn away from the bookcase to face the enterance of the tunnel, I freeze.

Its almost unmistakable, that feeling you get when someone is watching you. For the millionth time, I couldn't help but shake as that feeling overcame me. It happened often in the tunnels, but this was the first time that I was actually alone.

"Serena?" I whispered, waiting to see the glint of her gray eyes amongst the darkness. Only, she never came. I kept waiting to hear the sound of her footsteps as she approached, or the scream that I would emit as she drew her wand. Yet, I was still horribly alone in this tunnel. No one was going to come and save me, but there was also no one to get in my way, to stop me from rescuing my friends.

My arms were covered in goose bumps, the brisk sting of the cool wind on my skin creating them. It got colder as I wandered back towards the exit of the tunnel, little rays of moonlight peaking through the wooden planks of the boat shed. It didn't take long for me to leave the tunnels, and soon I was standing below the river bank, the midnight stars dotting the skyline.

There had to be something in the school to open that bookcase, and I wasn't going to stop until I found it. All I needed was some help in the magical department, and I knew just where to find it.

Rose:

"Scorpius!" I yelled, pressing my ear to the bookshelf. I could hear the echo of his footsteps as he walked away from us, towards an exit that I could no longer reach. It was an awful feeling, with Scorpius out there trying to bust us all out. It was like being blind, not being able to see what was going on outside of the tunnel. Serena could show up at any minute, and all the warning that we would have would be the scraping of the bookshelf as It swung open.

"Rose, I think that Diana's leg is broken ." Albus said from behind me, Diana laying on the floor beside him. Her face was stark white, beads of sweat rolling down her forehead as she grit her teeth. My gaze fell to the oddly twisted leg that was bent underneath her, the skin already turning a sickly purple as it bruised.

"Yeah " I agreed, sinking to my knees as I examined her leg. If I had my wand, all that It would have took was a chant to set it straight again. It felt strange to go without the little stick of wood, I felt bare without having its power with me, to know that it was out there somewhere, far away from my reach.
