Authors Note: Hey Guys! First off- Thanks for the 1K! This is my first fan fiction, so that is truly awesome for me ! This chapter is a little bit shorter, but I will be splitting it into three parts, which should all be updated by the end of this week if all goes to plan. Hope that you guys enjoy! As always, please let me know if you have any suggestions or advice, or even if you have something to add, I'd be happy to take a look at your suggestion!

Albus:

I heard them before I saw them. Footprints echoed across the tunnel's cold floors, sending chills down my spine. As long as It wasn't Serena, we'd been fine. Or, that's what I told myself. There were so many things that could be down here, I didn't even give myself time to think about all of the horrifying monsters that lived in the forbidden forest.

Sometimes I felt like a total wimp. When my parents had been at school, they had been hunted by the dark lord himself, yet my father never even seemed to blink an eye. My mother wasn't much different , she is a tough as I'd expect Harry Potter's wife to be.

"Rose?" I heard Scorpius call, watching two figures run towards us, the glowing tips of their wands casting tall shadows on the tunnel walls.

"We got it!" Diana yelled, her voice shattering the silence that had been looming over the tunnels ever since Scorpius and I had set foot in here. There was just something about Diana that made her hard to ignore. And by hard, I mean impossible. Diana ran full speed towards Scorpius and I, Rose straggling behind her with the book in her arms. Volume E was thinner than I'd imagined, leather bound with rusty metal claps sealing the pages shut. The spine was branded with the largest letter "E"that I had ever seen on the side of a book, and my aunt happens to own one of the biggest wizarding libraries in Britain.

"Nice!" I laughed, high-fiving Diana as she took the book from Rose, and pushed it into the empty slot in the bookshelf.

"O.P.E.N" Rose read, beads of sweat rolling down her pale face. Sometimes, I had to wonder just how Rose turned out to be the way she is with a family like ours. She wasn't wild like James or Hugo, but she wasn't a drama queen like Lily and Molly either. I always wondered what was going on in that mind of hers. Now, I could tell that she was focused on solving this mystery, that and tomorrow's homework of course.

"Cistem Aperio." Rose muttered, taping her wand on each of the book's. As soon as the words left my cousin's mouth, each letter carved into the spine glowed a fierce red. Slowly, the bookcase swung forward. "Yes!" I yelled, my smile stretching across my face as far as it could possibly go. Diana laughed, hugging Rose.

"We did it mate!" I turned to Scorpius, clapping him on the back. If anything, I found that Scorpius was the quietest one in our little group, and I was determined to change that.

The bookcase now seemed to double as a door, and I could see the outlines of more curved walls from outside the bookshelf. It looked like our tunnel exploring days wouldn't be over for a little while.

"So." Rose said, her voice no higher than a squeak, "Who wants to go first?"

"Duh." Diana said, grabbing onto the edge of the bookshelf as she stepped forward. Slowly, she threw her leg over the large step, swinging the rest of her body into the tunnel. Grasping her glowing wand, she smiled. "You next Scorpy."

"Seriously Diana?" Scorpius muttered, grumbling something along the lines of "Show off." As he walked forward. Laying his shaking hands on the bookshelf, he took a deep breath before glancing at the long, dark tunnel that lay ahead.

"Is it just me, or does anyone else have a bad feeling about this?" He stuttered.

"Nope. I'm pretty sure that that's just you." Diana said, clucking her tongue.

"Diana." Rose hissed, laying a hand on Scorpius's shoulder. "Don't worry Scorpius, Al and I will go first."

With a nod, Rose sleeked forward, grabbing Diana's hands as she pulled herself through the bookcase. I followed suit, holding onto the side of the bookshelf as I climbed through. As soon as my legs hit the ground, I could feel a sharp breeze tickling the bare skin on the back of my neck. I envied the long robes that Rose and Diana had on, regretting my decision to wear only a sweater.

"Okay Scorpius. " Rose cooed, Reaching her hand out towards our friend. "You can do it."

Scorpius grabbed onto Rose's hand, just placing his hand onto the bookcase as a rattling boom echoed through the tunnels.

"Trespassers!" A voice shouted, so loud that I swore that the walls shook under the pressure of the voice.

I met Rose's shell shocked eyes, mouthing the word "Serena?"

My cousin shook her head, whoever this person was, It definitely wasn't the little first year from ravenclaw. This was something way more powerful, and way more deadly.

"You shall pay for your misdeeds!" The voice trumpeted, so loud that I had to clap my hands over my ears. The bookcase rattled, slowly moving itself back into place.

"No!" Rose yelped, reaching for her wand. She patted her pocket, only to come up with nothing. "Al? toss me yours." She cried, holding out her hands. Yet, my wand was no where to be found either. I shook my head, throwing my gaze to meet Diana's.

"Mine's gone too." She groaned, running towards the bookcase, which had almost reached the other side of the wall. Throwing her leg into the gap, she tried to push against the bookcase, only to have it throw her out of the way, her body landing on the hard floor near Rose's feet.

Diana wasn't our only concern. The bookcase was seconds away from sealing us in, and Scorpius was still on the other side.

"You have to jump!" I shouted, gesturing to him with my hands.

"I can't Al!" He shouted, his hands shaking. "I can't."

And just like that, the bookcase clicked back into place, sealing us into the newest set of tunnels like a tomb.
