AN: Hey Guys! Here's your next chapter! As always, please tell us what you think, or any ideas for the story that you might have. Thanks!
Rose
I felt the floorboards shake, the wooden walls ready to collapse on us. Or that's what it seemed like at least. I grab onto Albus's hand, throwing the cloak off. My cousin has already unsheathed his wand, holding it aloft.
"Where did that girl go? She was here one minute, gone the next." Albus mutters, glancing around the room.
I shake my head. Serena is gone.
"She's one weirdo, that's for sure." Scorpius groanes. " I mean, who runs around the castle in the middle of the night, communicating with odd voices in a boat shed?"
"Us." I mumble. Moving forward,I make my way to the back of the boat shed. The back wall consisted of smooth brown wood, with a faulty plank down the middle. I could see the spot where Serena had pressed down on. I couldn't tell if the round shaped hole in the middle of the plank was a button, or a fingerprint indented in the wall.
"Guys, come look at this." I say, placing my finger onto the mark.
"Rose." Scorpius starts, " I wouldn't do that."
It was a little bit late for that. My finger was already pressed down onto the mark, the ragged wood poking my pale skin. The wooden wall fell forward, with me on top.
"Rose!" A voice shouts. I crash to the ground, my face slamming into the wood. I roll onto my back, groaning when I hear my body crack.
"You okay Rose?" Albus asks, pulling me to my feet. His wand tip was filled with white light, reflected throughout the room. Quickly, I take inventory. I am fine, just a little bit bruised.
"Yeah." I say, nodding. I glance at the wall, now resting on the floor of the shed. I expected it to end there. But instead, long cement walls extended from the end of the shed. There was no trace of light, except for the tiny bit projected from Al's wand. I took out my own, searching my brain for the spell. "Lumos." I whisper.
"Should we go in?" Diana asks. Her shirt is coated with mud, goosebumps travelling up her arms. I didn't know if the goosebumps are caused from fear, or the cold. November was almost over, and the earth seemed to catch it's breath, just waiting for the chilly, frozen snowflakes to fall.
"We have to. I mean, why wouldn't we?" I reply. Stepping forward, my shoes met with the cold cement, that covered the tunnel floor. Using my wand as a flashlight, I projected the light onto the walls. Diana walks beside me, shaking her wand as she tried to light the tip.
"Give it here." I mutter. Diana passes me her wand and I hold it tightly, speaking clearly as I speak. "Lumos."
"Thanks Roe." Diana says, smiling. "Isn't this cool! I mean, come on. We're walking through newly discovered tunnels, at midnight, in a boat shed." She exclaims, elbowing Albus.
"Yeah, fun!" Albus replies, with mock excitement. I should probably explain, my cousin isn't much of a risk taker. Scorpius follows close behind, quietly muttering to himself.
"Check this out." He says, coming to a sudden stop. Walking closer to the left wall he holds up his wand, letting the light wash over it. Symbols are scratched into the wall, messy to the point that they were almost unreadable. As far as I could see, there was seven little pictures, each of them crudely drawn.
"Can you tell what they are?" Diana asks, her fingers dancing across the symbols. I step forward, blowing the dust away from the pictures. The first one looks like it could have be drawn by a toddler, with the lines wobbly and all over the place. It kind of looked like a book, with the open pages and the lines scrawled across them. The second one was a little bit more clear, with only two lines forming a circle, another circle settled beneath the first. The last couple ones were the worse, being even more dusty and unintelligible.
