Chapter- 6

Winter's POV

Last night was weird....just weird and thats all I can say. After my awkward confrontation nothing really happened between Ian and me as he quickly moved away. Nevertheless we had dinner together but we didn't really speak much and ate in silence. After dinner Ian carried up sleeping Aiden and left around 11.30 in the night after thanking me probably for the millionth time.

I slept pretty well last night and there was this comforting feeling in my heart that I don't really know where it emerged from. I just felt happy...and thats it. I don't know why I felt happy as this feeling was completely foreign to me. I didn't really feel like this since a long time and it kind of put my heart at peace.

I woke up at around 5.30 in the morning and it was my first day at work. I was kinda nervous but at the same time I was also pretty excited. I quickly did all my morning routine and took a shower. I decided to wear a pair of black jeans and a white top accompanied by a baby blue coloured sweater. It was pretty cold outside so I decided to take a muffler around my neck and put on my warm leather boots. I got my handbag and put all the necessary items into it. I was already running late so I quickly locked the door of my appartment and ran down the stairs as it would take longer if I waited for the elevator.

I practically rushed to the bus stop to only find out that I had missed the first bus which was at 6.15 in the morning.

Woww Winter...very nicee.. Now you are gonna get late on your very first day.

I sighed in frustration and decided to wait for the next bus which was supposed to come after 15 mins. I had to reach by 7.30 and it would take me atleast an hour to reach there by bus if not more.

Ten minutes had passed and I was already getting restless. If I don't get the bus now then definitely I'm gonna get late.

I was contemplating in my mind if I could take a uber to reach earlier when suddenly a black car stopped infront of me.

As soon as the window glass slided down, I could see a well-dressed Ian in a sky blue coloured shirt and hair combed backwards peeking from inside.

So we are wearing matching coloured outfits today.

"Hey Good morning Winter", Ian said from inside and I swear his morning voice sounded sexier.

I nodded my head and greeted back, "Good morning.."

"U-Umm so I'm gonna drop Adam and Aiden at their schools. Do you wanna hope in cause we are practically going the same way??"

Ian asked me very politely but then I saw Adam sitting at the back wearing a green tshirt and a permanent frown on his face. He have me a weird look and turned his gaze to the opposite side when our eyes met.

O-Okayy... so I guess that's my cue to not go with them.

"Umm Thanks...but it's not necessary... I'll just take the bus", I politely tried to reject Ian's offer.

"Come on Winter.....You know very well that if you wait anymore, you're definitely gonna be late. Now it's your decision... If you want to be late on your first day or not...."

Ian gave me a playfull look while tapping his fingers on the steering wheel.

Should I just get on ?..... What's the maximum thing that can happen !!
Adam's gonna hate me more after this and possibly I'm gonna be on Adam's bad side.
But who cares....!! Cause probably by now the whole world is already on his bad side considering the permanent scowl he has on his face.
But I need a ride right now if I don't wanna create a bad impression on my first day.
