The next morning, Justin and Aiko stayed in bed for a while after a night of cuddling. Justin really did enjoy that. Something about cuddling/spooning just made him feel cared about, regardless of what was happening in his life.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"Housekeeping!" a Latina voice said. He let the person in. It was Nora.
"Wait, JD? What are you doing here?"
"Oh, hi Nora. Didn't expect to see you here this early."
"I didn't expect to see you here, period. Are you on vacation or something?"
"Yep. Me, Aiko, and a few others are here for Thanksgiving break."
"Ah, gotcha. Well, I just came here to replace your towels and whatnot."
"Alright. I was just about to head out. Me and Aiko just got done with a full night of cuddling.""Well, alrighty then. Hope you enjoy yourselves here. I won't be here for Thanksgiving though. I'm gonna fly to Commotion and get together with my big ass family. That's why I like Thanksgiving so much: It's the only time we're all together."
"Yeah, I kind of figured that. Oh, and have you seen Sarah?" he asked, still dreading their meetup.
"You're talking about Suki? Yeah, she's in the lobby right now. Why?"
Justin gasped. This was not good.
"I'm just dreading crossing paths with her, especially with me having a Japanese woman here with me."
"J, stop being so harsh towards her. She's just a young girl with a lot of innocence. She can't help being a little annoying."
"Yeah, I know she can't help her being annoying because that's a part of her personality. But, she CAN help taking care of her hygiene more. Much like my nasty ex-roommate, she only takes a shower twice a week and it shows. She stinks."
Nora frowned. She didn't know what to say.
"Just try and be nice to her, okay? She's still young and isn't corrupt by society. Maybe when she's older she'll take showers more."
Justin shrugged. But, it was time to face the music: Him and Aiko had to confront Sarah. A lot of anxiety was going through his head as he went to the hotel lobby. Of course, there she was: Sarah "Suki" Stevens, talking to Lailani at the front desk.
"Hi, Sarah." he said, hoping she'd forget who he was. Oh wait, that's Candace that forgot people, not Sarah. Fuck!
"Oh EM GEE! Konichiwa, Senpai Justin! It's been a bit. How have you been?"
"UGH!" he screamed, feeling the cringe. "I'm not your senpai, damn it."
"Oh, sorry. I'm still learning Japanese. Am I any better than last time?"
"No, and I doubt you'll ever get any better for as long as you live."
"Hmph! You're being such a meany-head. What's wrong with you?"
"I'm not being a meany-head. I'm just being brutally honest. But, Sarah, I have a friend I want you to meet and I really want you to hold in your Japan-fetish around her."
Sarah looked confused.
"What are you talking about?"
"Look, let me just introduce you and hope you don't go yandere on her or whatever. Aiko, you can come out now."
She walked out from a corner. Sarah saw her, not understanding what he was talking about.
"Who's this?" she asked.
"This is my friend, Aiko. I've been helping her through some personal issues lately."
"Umm... I'm confused. Why were you so hesitant in me meeting her?"
Justin raised his eyebrow. Did she not know? Or was she just playing stupid?
"Sarah, do you notice anything about her? Something that catches your eye and makes you go sugoi or whatever you say?"
She paused for a moment. She took a good look at Aiko to see what he was talking about.
"Uh... Is she a school teacher?" she asked, pointing at the obvious.
"Well, you're not wrong. But, do you notice anything else? Like, what race she is?"
She took another look. She still didn't know.
"I give up! What are you trying to say?"
"Oh my GOD! You're just a dumb bitch, aren't you? Aiko is Japanese! Her name is Aiko Yumi. Do you not see it in her hair or slightly-squinted eyes?"
"No, she isn't." Sarah said, looking even more stupid.
"I'm sorry, what?!" he said, annoyed by her stupidity.
"She's not Japanese. Her skin isn't even tan. Lailani is more tan than her."
"Um, Suki? You know I'm actually Polynesian, right?" Lailani said. Of course, Sarah didn't care.
Aiko was getting annoyed too. She's never met anyone that said she wasn't Japanese all because she wasn't a deep tan.
"Listen, Sarah. I'm 100% Japanese. I know how to use chopsticks, I have a Japanese name, and when Justin first met me, he asked me if I could teach him karate, which was kind of racist but it put me in a good mood that day."
"I don't know. I think you might be Thai or something."
Aiko went off. She then said something, all in Japanese.
"Watashi wa nihonjindesu, anata wa bakageta sukankudesu! Watashi wa ima sono gengo o hanashite iru."
Sarah paused. Justin was in shock. He had never heard Aiko speak an entire sentence in Japanese before.
"W-What?! What did you say?"
"Look it up! I'm done with this. Come on, Justin. Let's go enjoy ourselves."
They left the hotel. Sarah was in shock. She knew she had to look up what Aiko said to her. She never learned any of those words before.
