Rebuilding Bridges

Justin made his way to the Surf Shack to meet the stranger. Who could it be? This was so sketchy. It'd better not be...

"Hey, Baby. I was waiting for you." the blonde woman in leopard clothing said.

"J-Jessie?" he said. "What the heck are you doing here?". He didn't seem too happy to see her.

"Awe, come on Hun. I flew all the way out here to see you. Why aren't you happy to see me?"

He frowned. It wasn't necessarily her, it was the fact that her daughter was here as well. If they crossed paths, a fallout was bound to happen.

"Look, Jessie. You really shouldn't be here right now. Your daughter is here and I do not want you two crossing paths. I understand you miss her but she made it very clear that she wants nothing to do with you."

"That's why I'm here, actually." she admitted. Really? She flew all the way to Inna De Poona just to stalk her own daughter (and potential long-term boyfriend)? Either she was joking or she's actually lost it.

"Jessie, please. Don't be stalking me and her. I don't want any more drama to occur during this vacation."

"Honey, I'm not stalking. I texted you because I need your help. I was hoping that you can convince her to forgive me and we can repair the bridges that were burned. You know it's been making me depressed and I'm sure I'd do the same for you and your sister."

That last sentence got him feeling emotional. He remembered that Jessie was extremely depressed because Tiffany disowned her. He couldn't help but feel bad for her because he knew that pain. It was the same pain he felt when his sister burned bridges with him over similar mistakes/life choices. He felt obligated to help her out. If him and his sister weren't ever going to talk again, then maybe it wasn't too late for Jessie and Tiffany.

"Jessie, I'll be right back." he said with a determined face. He didn't just want this to happen, he NEEDED it to happen. Jessie sat at the Surf Shack, not knowing what was going down.

He went back to Love Lei hotel to see if Tiffany was in her room.

"Tiffany?" he said while knocking. She opened the door and saw him. She could tell something was off.

"Oh hi, Justin. Whatcha need?" she asked.

"Tiffany, can I talk to you? Privately!" he said, acknowledging Audrey.

"Oh fuck off, Justin!" she screamed. Fine, he took Tiffany to his room and she sat down. Something was about to go down.

"What did you want to talk about?" she asked.

"It's your mother."

"Oh... What does she want?" she said, suddenly aggravated.

"It's not what she wants, Tiffany. It's what she needs. Look, I never told you this but last time I came to Inna De Poona, she was there and was telling me about some horrible things going on with her. She's been extremely depressed and feels like killing herself because of you. She just wants her daughter back."

Tiffany looked shocked, almost disgusted but not with her mom, but with herself. Did she really cause her mom to be severely depressed? Or was he just saying that to get her goat?

"Justin... I appreciate you trying to help but I cut ties with her for a reason. She's just a nasty porn star and records herself sleeping with multiple men. It's kind of disgusting."

"She WAS a porn star, Tiffany. But, she's gotten much older and nobody really likes her anymore and she's getting older and older by the days. Damn near 40 years old and losing her beauty. She's not a porn star anymore, just a washed up ex-mother that just wants forgiveness for her past mistakes."

Tiffany almost started crying. What had she done? Yeah, Jessie made some nasty videos. Yeah, she wasn't the best mother during her childhood. And yeah, she smoked too much. But, she felt ashamed of what she had done.

"I... I... Oh SHIT! What have I done?" she broke down. Justin never heard her use profanity that often. She was Catholic, after all. You know she's really upset if she committed a sin.

"Where is she? Is she here?" she asked in tears.

"She's at the Surf Shack." he said. Tiffany agreed to follow him there. Jessie was still sitting at the bar, looking down. She was very depressed and giving up hope.

"Mom!" Tiffany shouted. Jessie turned around and saw her daughter and Justin. Her face lit up.

"T-Tiffany?!" she shouted. Yep, this was finally happening.

"Look, Mom. I am so sorry about what I did. I shouldn't have said those nasty things to you and stop speaking to you. I should've just accepted you for your lifestyle. I feel so bad for everything that I did and I forgive you for all your mistakes. I love you."

Jessie's eyes began to water. She hugged her daughter and they finally made amends. Justin was proud of himself. He fixed their relationship.

"Jessie, would you want to eat Thanksgiving dinner with us?" he asked. Yeah, it was perfect now that her and her daughter are on good terms.

"Of course, Justin. Thank you for everything. Because of you, I have a daughter again.""Jessie, it was the least I could do. You don't even owe me for this."

"T-Thank you. And I'll pay you back someway, regardless."

He smiled. Looks like one problem was fixed. He headed back to the hotel feeling good about himself. For once, he knew he did the right thing. He went to sleep that night, not even worried about cuddling. Him doing that was enough for him.
