"Nica! I'm ho-ome!" Tiffany sang as she walked through the door. She looked around for a second. "Aha! There you are!"
She looked at Nica who was sitting silent in her wheelchair.
"Well, now you don't seem very excited to see me, Nica. You should be. I brought you a surpri-ise!" She reached into her bag to pull out a flower pot with a wilting flower.
Nica looked up at Tiffany, shaking a little. Even if it was just a flower, she didn't trust her.
"Now, I know that it's not very much, but I know that with some love and care, it can blossom into a beautiful, healthy, happy little flower. Just. Like. You!" Tiffany giggled.
Nica looked back down, trying not to cry. She was terrified. She couldn't believe this was the reality she was living in right now. She had a family, not a perfect one, but one she loved, but now she was being held captive by a murderous woman who was obsessed with her.
"What's wrong, Nica? You know I'd never hurt you, right? Right...?"
Nica stayed silent.
"Please, don't cry!" Tiffany said. She searched frantically around the room for a free table. She grabbed it and put next to Nica. She picked up the small, dying, pink flower and set it on the table. "Here's your flower! Isn't it pretty?" She said, trying to sound joyful.
Though she was a murderer, Tiff had a soft spot in her heart for Nica and did whatever she could to try to comfort her and make her love her back, even if she wasn't great at it. Deep down she knew it would never happen, but she didn't want to give up. She loved Nica more than she had ever loved anyone and was scared to let her go.
She thought for a minute about the best way to show Nica some affection. I know, I'll get her some more flowers! That should help, right?
"Nica, I'll be back soon, I promise. I'm going out to get you an even better surprise so you'll feel better."
She walked over to her.
"Now, I know you're not going to like this," she said while strapping her wrists and ankles to her wheelchair, "but you know I have to do this for your safety. If Chucky were to come back while I was gone, well, who knows what that asshole would do. To you, or to me." She took a step back to look at her for a second. "Comfy, sweetface?"
Nica still did not speak. No, she was not comfy, and she was not happy. She just wanted to be free, though she knew she didn't have a choice, Tiffany wouldn't let her go, and there was no way she could escape, she had no use of her legs and part of a serial killer's soul trapped in her body.
"I do have one more thing that might help you, Nica," Tiff said. "I'll be right back." She left the living room and went to her bedroom, coming back out with a small teddy bear. She placed it on Nica's lap, slightly under her arm. "My darling Glen sent this to me a while back. They've always been so sweet. Now you have something to comfort you while I'm gone!"
She stepped back again. "Awe, look how precious you are! Now, I'll be back soon, Nica! I miss you already!" She blew Nica a kiss, grabbed her purse, and walked out the door.
