Tiffany had spent the previous night crying herself to sleep, unable to stop thinking about the things Chucky had said to her. Even the next morning, she still couldn't shake it, so she knew she had to do something about it.
...
After cleaning up and putting on fresh makeup, she threw on a new outfit, a black dress with a white bolero. Simple and works for any occasion. She wasn't entirely sure what her plan for the day was, but she knew she had to get out of the house, even if just for a bit.
She went to the kitchen to make breakfast for her and Nica. Nica was still in her room, Tiffany didn't go to get her this morning like she usually does. She knew Nica didn't want to be around her and quite honestly, it was hurting her to see Nica right now. She really did love her, at least in her own way, but at the moment, she needed a break.
Tiffany prepared herself a couple of waffles and while she ate, she wondered what she could make for Nica.
"It needs to be something that I can leave with her while I'm gone," she mumbled to herself. "Nothing that requires a fork or a knife. If that asshole gets back in the driver's seat, who know's what he could do with those. Maybe I'll just make her a smoothie and a bowl of fruit."
After she finished her breakfast, she got up and made Nica a smoothie. She wasn't really sure what she liked so she just hoped for the best with a strawberry and banana smoothie and a bowl filled with different varieties of fruits. She put the smoothie and bowl onto a tray and took it to Nica's room. She quietly opened the door and stepped inside.
"Nica?" she said quietly. Nica was in a light sleep and jumped awake at the sound of her voice.
"N-no, don't be scared, okay? I won't make you come into the other room to sit with me today... In fact, I'm going to be gone again." She placed the tray down on the night stand and sat down on the bed next to Nica, moving the position of the restraints. "While I'm gone, I know you're going to need to eat and all, so I'm going to move these." She moved the restraints to Nica's upper arms so she had more movement than usual. "Now you can eat without me while I'm gone."
She sighed and looked down for a second. "I'm sorry, Nica. I realize that keeping you here isn't going to make you love me, but..." She took a deep breath. "But even if I wanted to let you go, I can't. Chucky is still a part of you now and... and I wouldn't put it past him to kill himself in your body to get rid of you and upset me..."
Nica didn't say anything for a second. There wasn't really anything to say. As much as she hated to admit it, Tiffany was right. Whenever Chucky was in control, he used her body for whatever he wanted and never took care of it. Before Tiffany had started to restrain her to keep Chucky from going anywhere, whenever she could come back to consciousness she would always find little cuts and bruises all over her body from who knows what. It's like he didn't care what happened since it wasn't actually his body, which wasn't surprising.
"You're leaving again today?" Nica asked quietly.
Tiffany nodded. "Mhm."
"What are you doing?" Her voice was shaky and unsteady.
"Oh, uh, just going back to that small town where the flower shop is," she said as she looked back down. "It's a nice little place." she paused slightly before speaking again, almost inaudibly. "...I wish I could take you with me."
A silence filled the room. Tiffany started to regret that last sentence. Nica didn't have a response and Tiffany knew it would be best not to say anything else about it. She stood up from the bed and slowly leaned in to kiss Nica goodbye. She normally kissed her on the lips, but after seeing Nica flinch, she just kissed her gently on the forehead instead.
"Bye bye, Nica. I'll be home later."
Tiffany walked to the door, took one last look at her, then left to go out to her car.
