Josie had found herself at a bar in New Olreans one she recognized from some of Ameila's pictures and stories. The girl sat there awkwardly knowing she wasn't passing for an adult. After a bit a lady approached her, one that Josie knew was Ameilas aunt.

Freya-And how old are you claiming to be?
Josie-21 ish. But I know-
Freya- Mm. Relax. It's called "the Big Easy" for a reason. I'm Freya. I hear you've been asking around the Quarter for me.
Josie-I'm Josie.
Freya- Nice to put a face to the name least in person.
Josie- you know her I am?
Freya- yeah your my niece's best friend, student at the salvorte school, Alaric daughter, and gemini witch. I'm I wrong?
Josie- uh no but how did you know?
Freya- Ameila. Which is strange she isn't with you, what's up?
Josie- uh she doesn't know I'm here and I need your help. There's this spell that I'm kind of trying to reverse engineer.
Freya-I'm sure one of your teachers can help you with that.

Josie slide a book over to Freya which she began to read.

Freya-An ancient Japanese black magic purge spell? Those aren't the kind of spells school kids should be messing with. You should go home.
Josie-Wait. You have photos in your home of someone you don't recognize, with Ameila and Klaus and Hayley. Feels like you should know them, but you don't?

Freya was quick to turn and face the girl.

Freya-How did you know that?
Josie-We've all forgotten people. It doesn't matter what I say. Just as no one believed Ameila and her flashes. The spell that I need is the only way that you're gonna remember for yourself.

While back at the school Lizzie, Mg, and Ameila had found a zombie.

Lizzie-Incendia!
Ameila- ZOMBIES AGAIN SERIOUSLY?!

Lizzie attempted to burn the creature as it continued to growl. Ameila had taken a swing with a sword in an attempt to cut off its head.

Mg- Guys! we have to trap it so Malivore can't send another monster. Incinerating it kind of defeats the purpose?
Lizzie-Okay, fine.
Amelia-Glacies corporis.
Mg- aw just like our first super squad adventure Mels!

Kaleb and some girl walk in

Kim- You were saying?
Ameila- Kaleb who's this?
Kaleb- this baby wolf is my baby sis kim
Kim- woah you're the tribird?
Ameila- present and accounted for
Kaleb- anyway Ameila, Lizzie, and Mg

He points to the three as they all wave hello. Ameila stays back with the boys as Lizzie heads to the town square to talk to Hope. At this moment she is under the table listening to Ethan and Hope flirt.

Ethan-You ever want to see me, you should probably just ask me out.
Hope- Bye Ethan

Lizzie reached out and grabbed Hope's ankle knowing Ethan was gone

Hope- Gah!
Lizzie-Don't "gah" me. Get your ass under here.
Hope-What are you doing?
Lizzie- Looking for you. You were supposed to be keeping an eye on the portal to Malivore and you need to talk to Ameila after last night.
Hope- I'm literally on top of it, and why is she asking about me?
Lizzie- Not on top of it enough and I don't know I;ve been avoiding her till a zombie snuck onto campus this morning and we took care of it.
Hope-I mean, are you sure it's from the portal? I've been here all night.
Lizzie-It has the mark of Malivore carved into its skull. It's obviously from the portal. Maybe you were too busy flirting with the muggle.
Hope-I wasn't flirting. I was blending in.

Back with Josie. Freya was helping her with the spell.

Freya-you say Harae-tamai Kioku Yomigaerashi-tamae. In the spell, conviction matters. You need to be clear of mind and purpose. If not, instead of purging the supernatural influence in the mind, you'll end up solidifying it, making it permanent.
Josie-Is that as bad as it sounds?
Freya-You'd erase the very memories you're trying to bring back. How did you even find this spell?
Josie-I siphoned it from an ancient sword and into Ameila to save my sister's life? Weird story short, I read in this diary how it returned all of her memories somehow.
Freya- Hmm that explains the phone call I got from Ameila one night. Magic and privacy don't mix well.
