A few months Later

My birthday came and went quickly. The pack got me a few gifts that I absolutely loved, my favorite one was Leah asking me to be her girlfriend. The fainting spells got worse as the months went by. They got more frequent I was out for longer. I was almost always running a fever. The boys would always make jokes that I was turning into a wolf like them. Leah would always throw something at them for it. Leah was constantly near me, she was really worried about me. Sam had let the pack go to my school so they could keep an eye on me. Seeing as the pack had to drop out when they shifted they jumped at the chance to go back. "Isa?" Leah's worried voice cleared away all my thoughts as i focused on her. "Yes my love?" I smiled warmly at her. "You've been staring at the wall for a while now, the bell rang like 3 minutes ago." I looked around the room empty of everyone else besides my concerned girlfriend. "Sorry i was just lost in thought." "Yeah but we could be lost in food right now, I'm starving." She joked. I laughed softly. "You're always starving, but let's go before you wither away." I joked back collecting my things and heading to lunch. Leah had wrapped her arm around my shoulders, a habit she had recently developed when we went public about our relationship. As we entered the cafeteria I heard loud laughter immediately brightening up and pulling Leah along to the noise. I smiled taking my seat practically vibrating with excitement. Leah laughed lightly alerting the boys to our arrival. My smile brightened as we were greeted warmly by the rest of the pack. I quickly took the lunch pack out of the middle of the table with 'Izzy' written on it with perfect hand writing. Emily started cooking us food and bringing it to the school dropping it off right before lunch so the pack and I had enough to eat. I smiled pulling my lunch out and started scarfing it down. Over the past few months my appetite had grew, I could easily eat as much as Leah on a daily basis. "Slow down Izzy, the food won't run away." Quil joked lightly. "I don't know Quil, Emily always makes sure our food is fresh. It could be fresh enough to be alive." Embry responded laughing before going back to his food. "Be nice Quil." Leah's voice seemed worried but the warning in it was clear. "Yeah Quil" I responded my mouth full of food. "She even eats like them now, how disgusting." I heard Lauren quip. I looked up expecting her to be in front of me. I was surprised to see her almost all the way across the cafeteria looking at me with disgust written all over her face. I stopped eating, staring at her and swallowing my food. "Isa?" Leah pulled me into her lap expecting me to faint again. I continued to stare at Lauren, she stared back shifting in her chair uncomfortably. "Isa?"  My eyes seemed to adjust my vision getting clearer. I noticed a little bead of sweat forming on her forehead, "Lauren, are you okay?" I heard Jessica ask. Lauren broke our little staring contest and focused on her. "Yeah I'm fine, just thinking about how disgusting those dykes are." My skin felt hot as my body started to shake, a low growl building in my throat. "Isa?!" I continued to stare at Lauren before a glimpse of red outside the window caught my attention. My eyes focused on it. Red eyes stared at me from the forest. Fire red hair. The shaking got worse the growling louder. "Isabella?!" Leah's voice was full of worry the boys seemed to be holding their breaths. I saw the red eyes step forward a beckoning finger waved a sickening smile on her face. "Izzy!?" Quil sounded like he was going to start crying he sounded so worried. The shaking stopped my vision returning to normal the growling stopping. "Victoria" my voice was shaky and quiet. The pack all turned their heads to the place i was staring quickly getting up and running out the door. I followed after them the best I could. Leah stayed with me and stopped me when we reached the edge of the forest. "Go to Emily's  lock the door. Sam should be there. he'll protect you." I wanted to complain and opened my mouth. She kissed me and I kissed back. She broke the kiss turned and ran into the woods i watched her shift and run after the boys. My breathing grew heavy tears in my eyes, shaking back and doubled. The shaking reminded me of when I had caught hypothermia as a kid: but i was nowhere near cold. I was on fire. Every cell in my body seemed to be inside an inferno. My vision blurred and focused. My hearing coming and going. My breath was heavy. And the pain, oh the pain. it felt like I was being torn into tiny pieces. My knees collapsed at the weight of the pain. I fell and curled in on myself screaming. My scream changing into more of an animalistic sound. I could feel every bone in my body crack and heal in different positions rapidly. I closed my eyes tears flowing freely. The only sounds I heard was the sounds of my bones breaking, the heavy sound of my labored heart, and the pain filled howl of a wolf. The pain slowed, the shaking stopped, and my heart returning to normal. I opened my eyes and blinked a few times adjusting to the light. I shook my head. it felt heavier than normal. I went to stand using my arms to get up and quickly fell on my face. 'What the hell' I tried saying out loud but it came out as a weird sound similar to a bark. I tried again with the same result. Panic quickly overtook my emotions, my skin feeling hot. A warm sensation filled my body. I noticed flames in the corner in my eyes and stood running to get away from them. I quickly realized i was running on four legs instead of two. I stopped suddenly and went tumbling into a tree. A loud crack could be heard as the tree broke where I ran into it. It caught fire and burned quickly turning into mere embers before my eyes. I tried to scream but all that came out was a strangled howl. I quickly stopped and my eyes widened. I stood looking back seeing white fur engulfed in flames. I closed my eyes sitting down the best I could. It had to be a dream it all had to be a dream. I closed my eyes and focused on trying to wake up. I opened them and looked back to see the same thing. I growled in frustration scaring myself when I heard it. It sounded exactly like when Leah growled when she was shifted. Was I a wolf?!? I focused on calming down the flames disappearing as my breath evened out. I was going to stay where I was and wait for Leah to find me. She could help. I laid down waiting for my girlfriend to save me from this nightmare. My ears swiveled around hearing footsteps and panting. I stood excitedly and tried calling out Leah's name but all that came out was a bark. I felt a weird sensation behind me and looked back seeing a tail? I looked back to the sound ignoring the new discovery. I saw Leah break through the trees. I called out excitedly a loud excited bark filling the woods around us. Leah froze her posture quickly changing to an aggressive stance a growl filling the air her teeth bared. I looked at her feeling scared for the first time around her. I tried telling her it was me but all that came out was a whine. The tail stopped my ears flattening against my head as I started to shake in fear. I looked at her eyes silently begging her to recognize me. My brain lost all thoughts, my emotions dulled. All I could focus on was Leah. I could feel my body relax and the panic and fear disappearing Leah's stance relaxed as she stared back the same way I was staring at her. She shifted back name and whispered something. "Imprint" I tilted my head confused and focused on her. I felt my bones returning to their normal shape. The feeling of the tail disappearing my body cooling. I stood on two legs staring at Leah. "Isa?!" She sounded surprised and confused. My legs shook tears filling my eyes as I collapsed. "Leah" my voice was barely above a whisper. She ran forward  catching me but barely. I cried softly into her chest. "It's okay, you're okay. Breath. Focus on me baby, it'll all be okay." I listened to her soothing voice then on the footfall around us. I cuddled closer to her as the pack surrounded us. She looked up at Sam it seemed like she was silently begging for answers. He shifted back. "What happened?" he asked confused. "She shifted?" Leah responded, confusion and concern laced her voice. I whimpered lightly and Leah's gaze returned to me. She held me close nuzzling my hair whispering into my ears. I couldn't seem to focus on what she was saying. I just knew I was safe in her arms. I looked around and saw everyone looking at me. I felt a breeze where I shouldn't and quickly noticed I was naked, as was Leah. I growled surprised that it sounded menacing. All the boys dropped their gaze besides Sam. I looked him in the eyes growling the warm feeling came back as I stood up looking him in the eyes and growling again. My eyes felt weird and I saw the flames in the corner of my visions. Sam's eyes widened and he slowly averted his gaze. I looked down at Leah and my eyes softened. "Beautiful" I heard her whisper. I smiled and held out my hand to her. As she grabbed it my eyes went back to normal and the fire stopped. "What the fuck is happening to me" I whispered softly. "I don't know Isa, but we'll figure it out. I promise." I nodded trusting her and hugged her she quickly hugged me back. My thoughts wandered as I stood held in the arms of my guardian angel.
