Chapter 3 🌲Kenzie's POV🌲 Another man pulled out a copy of Kendall's letter. I kept a calm mind and pretended I had no idea. "No Sir it doesn't," I told the man gripping my shoulder. He pointed to my name on the letter. I shrugged with a confused look on my face. "Come here," he growled. He dragged me to the cars outside and pushed me into one. The other men filed into the remaining cars. We drove to the Central Hall where I was pulled out of the car and pushed up the steps. My back ached from being shoved around. I followed the men up the marble steps. Sitting inside the Hall was Kendall. I rushed over to her but I was pulled back. Even more men in black surrounded her. "What's in your pocket?" One of the men asked. I glanced down and saw the white envelope poking out. Before I could answer one of the men snatched it from my pocket. He read of the letter then handed it to the man who held the others. "Caught ya," one of them growled in my ear. Fear took over. What would they do now? Why were they so concerned about it? They led me and Kendall to another room. It was filled with cells. The Central prison. "Why am I going here?" Kendall asked. "We're relocating your family to Central 13," one man answered simply. He then pushed us into an empty cell and closed the door. The men left. Most of the cells were empty but some were filled with people. People with a look of pure sadness on their face. I turned away from them. We would make it out. We wouldn't spend our whole lives in despair. Stuck in this prison. We were going to escape. || More?
