Addressing an Issue

Hello all,

I do have part six ready to publish an and I will be publishing it shortly but before I do I feel there is something I need to address. I am not a fan of authors publishing updates that aren't actually story updated so I wouldn't do this unless I felt necessary.

It has come to my attention that someone has accused Darkness-Willows1234 or Artic-Willow as known on Tumblr of copying my concept with the story Criminals On The Loose. This cannot be further from the truth. My story may have been published here first but her's was on Tumblr first. It was while reading her story that I came up with the concept for mine. Before this, I had never thought of MC and Jake having kids or writing a story with them as the main characters. Both stories are set 13 years after Duskwood and both stories involve MC's child as the main character but that is where the similarities stop. The characters and plots are completely different and her story came first so if anyone were to have copied someone it would have been me which I assure you was not the case. Willow has done a couple of drawings of Grace and posted them to Tumblr. She asked for permission before each drawing and I agreed because I can't draw and Willow is very good at it. Also, I really like the idea of seeing my characters drawn out. We've also talked about collaborating to do a one-shot where my character Grace and her Character Azure meet but I can assure you we each created our own stories and there was no Copywrite infringement or plagiarism.

She did not tell me who made the accusation and I did not press it. To the person who made the accusation, I want to say this. I am so thankful to have followers who look out for me and defend me when they think I have been wronged. This means so much to me and is truly appreciated. However, if you do feel like someone is copying my work I ask that you please contact me first. I would love to have the opportunity to address the situation myself.

As you may have noticed I did change my user name on here. I did this to avoid any confusion that may be caused by having Tumblr and Wattpad accounts posting the same content with different names. I didn't want to be accused of plagiarizing my own work. Plagiarism is a terrible thing but being accused of it when you've done nothing wrong is not a good thing either.
