minho came back with their orders, jisung was silently cheering inside because of the sandwich placed in front of him.
"thank you.." but that doesn't mean his nervousness went away.
"it's nothing. now, eat up." minho gestured and jisung took it, silently eating it while gazing outside of the restaurant. minho just watched the squirrel eat in front of him. he finds it cute how jisung never got rid of his little habit when eating. he always finds it adorable.
minho blinked, realizing that he was staring way too long. he looked away, but looked back when the latter cleared his throat.
"hey- umm, why aren't you eating?" he asked nervously.
"ah, right.." he chuckled lightly and began eating his sandwich.
they both remained silent, jisung was secretly stealing glances at the man opposite from him. a sudden wave of nostalgia washed over him.
he remembers the first time they went to eat in subway a day after they started dating. they were both shy that time that they couldn't even look at one another, when they would accidentally make eye contact they would only smile and laugh.
jisung felt himself blushing at that memory.
"are you alright? you look red." minho frowned.
"o-oh! i-it's the weather.. hot, isn't it?" jisung looked away, fanning himself.
minho only nodded and sipped on his drink. he looked away and jisung glanced at him before looking at his half-eaten sandwich.
to be confused was understandable.
he was starting to think what they were.
friends? or were they strangers to one another? to jisung, it felt like the second one.
jisung looked up when minho cleared his throat to gain the youngers attention.
"you know, nothing will happen if you keep staring at your food." the corners of minho's lips curled up into a small smile.
"i'm sorry.. i keep getting lost in thought.." he apologized.
"you don't have to apologize." jisung just gave a nod and continued on eating, he looked back up at minho when heard a sigh coming from him.
minho made eye contact with jisung. earlier while he was on his way, he thought of topics they could talk about. but it looks like he forgot about them the moment he stepped foot into the studio where jisung was in.
he just wanted to talk to jisung normally, just like before. when chan called him earlier about taking jisung out for lunch, he thought that this would maybe, just maybe, give him the chance to regain his friendship with the younger.
"to make things less awkward, why don't we start over and catch up?" he said as he made weird gestures with his hands.
jisung tilted his head, "start.. over?"
"you know, as friends.."
jisung just stared at minho, he blinked and thought about the idea of being friends again. he liked the idea. if it means having his best friend back, why not?
"alright." jisung agreed and smiled, minho's grin widened and sat up straight, taking a deep breath.
he decided to do the first step in starting over, "hello, i'm lee minho, and you are..?" he trailed off with a silly expression.
jisung just giggled, he took minho's hand and introduced himself, "i'm han jisung, nice to meet you, minho.."
