Eliza slowly awakens. She tries to sit up but holds her head in pain. 

Bradford: Glad to see you're finally coming out. Don't envy the headache you must have though. Still, can't fault Dr. Tygan. Especially as no one's even attempted something like this before. 

Eliza: So I was lucky to survive. 

Bradford: I want to say yes however your heart stopped for a few seconds before beating again. 

Eliza tries to stand up but Bradford stops her. 

Bradford: Easy. We're still not entirely sure what they did to you. That chip was buried halfway into your skull 

Eliza: How nice. 

Bradford ignores Eliza's Sarcastic comment. 

Bradford: Lost a lot of good soldiers looking for you over the years. Almost gave up hope you were still out there. Acted on the intel as soon as I got word. 

Eliza: Why?

Bradford: Because you're the best we got. Other countries' military fell in just a week during the invasion. But you kept XCOM up for two months. The tactics you taught us helped us hold our base for two more months after your capture.  We tried to use similar tactics during the war with advent but they were rendered useless with Advent's creation. 

Eliza stares at her hands. 

Bradford: Not sure what you remember but a lot's changed. Did the best I could but the last 20 years have been tough without you. You feel like catching up. Shen has the archive up and running on your terminal. Otherwise, I'd go see Dr. Tygan when you're ready. There are some things you should know. He'll be better at explaining them than me. 

Bradford goes to leave the room but stops to look back at Eliza. 

Bradford: It's damn good to have you back, Commander. 

Before Bradford can exit the room, Eliza asks him a question. 

Eliza: What happened to my brother? 

Bradford stops in his steps and looks at Eliza. 

Bradford: I stopped by your house when making my way to the old XCOM base. The House was partially destroyed. Your friend's dead body was there. Your brother however was missing. 

Bradford watches as Eliza regains hope. 

Eliza: Thank you, John. 

Bradford: No problem Eliza. 

Eliza stands up and puts her shoes on. She brings up the achieves to learn where all the rooms are. Once finished, she starts making her way to the Research Lab. 

(Research Lab)

Eliza enters the room as Dr. Tygan was talking while examining the power source of the Base. 

Tygan: Impressive isn't it? Capable of generation immense power, yet completely harmless to human life. If only the same could be said for the rest of the Alien's technology, Commander. Dr. Richard Tygan, Chief Science Officer.
